By this token, Bammers are wasting a lot of energy defending someone who hasn't been charged with a crime.

Do me a favor and view my post history and see if you think I've wasted time defending or even engaging in conversations regarding this case. TIA

Sit him for the rest of the season. He made a terrible decision and has suffered little from it, or so it seems.

Teach a lesson that hanging with thugs, carrying around a gun, living with thugs... Doing anything that aids in taking an innocent life has consequences.

Teach him, teach others... Love the kid, help him but sit him. Show the world that these decisions mean more in life than winning a damn game. And win without him.

So for people who commit felonies, just a little bit of a self enforced time out? No police or prison or anything?

Can we do this with other laws or does this option only pertain to athletes?

And before you say he didn't commit a crime or anything, then why sit him at all?

At least you learned that SCar didn't kick anyone off the team and they were suspended because they were actually charged with something.

It's actually amazing how far fans will go to defend a guy who is laughably considered a "student" at the university, mostly likely for all of about six months, because he can throw a ball through a metal hoop somewhat better than others.

They would’ve been disciplined without being charged. That’s just the kind of guy Beamer is - he doesn’t tolerate bullshite. Even if we had a chance to win the SEC and it was dependent on those players playing. And it starts at the top with the administration and who they choose to lead a program.

Like it or not a lot of peoples opinions about Bama are soured and will stay that way. But hey you won the SEC regular season in men’s bball congrats!

I think EVERYONE (regardless of school affiliation) should be defended and presumed innocent. Did we not learn ANYTHING from the Duke Lacrosse team?

I'm not hearing what anyone actually wants to happen to Miller.

He needs to be kicked off the team and expelled from the university.

Please use actual facts from the case to make your claim.

The text message made it very clear that the gun would be used for an improper purpose. We know he read the text message - his lawyer would have made it clear in his statement if Miller had not read the text message

Nor does graduating.

It also always amuses me how this board loves to hate on colleges (deservedly so in many cases), yet has a raging hard-on when it comes to sidewalk fans. Because THEIR college is above reproach and would never have those. The gatekeeping is really amazing. Cognitive dissonance really rules a lot of these people.

Why?

Yeah, this is so very clear right here:

"I need my joint a n****r rl jus got a fakin"

quote:

We know he read the text message - his lawyer would have made it clear in his statement if Miller had not read the text message

And if he did he might have been just as confused as I am about the meaning of that text, especially if he never saw the gun in his car.

For starters...

The University of Alabama prohibits the possession, transportation, and use of firearms and other dangerous weapons on campus at any time. This policy applies to all persons on campus, including faculty, staff, students and contractors.

That doesn't he even touch on the fact that he assisted a murder.

Now please tell me how his "car wasn't on campus while he was transferring the murder weapon".

He wasn’t on campus… he assisted in nothing.
