of Woman.

People Magazine

quote:

Alabama basketball player Brandon Miller is accused of giving his now-former teammate, Darius Miles, the gun that was allegedly used to fatally shoot a woman last month

quote:

Miller, a freshman who according to ESPN.com is expected to be a high pick in this summer's NBA draft, brought Miles' gun to him shortly before the Jan. 15 shooting after Miles had asked him to do so over text, Tuscaloosa Police detective Brandon Culpepper testified in court this week, Alabama Local reports.

quote:

The investigator claimed that on the day of slaying, Miles and Davis were in the backseat of Miller's car while Harris was sitting in the passenger seat of another vehicle, according to the Corvallis Gazette-Times. Miles allegedly told Davis where the gun was located inside Harris' car, whereupon Davis allegedly fired the weapon into the car containing Harris, killing her.

Am I the only one who 100% believes this is a cover up by the DA to allow Brandon to continue playing? What a scumbag.

However I'm not surprised bama faithful are defending this tPOS

Miller is a "cooperative witness".
Nothing to see here.
You folks move along.

First quote is a complete lie.

quote:

Miles allegedly told Davis where the gun was located inside Harris' car, whereupon Davis allegedly fired the weapon into the car containing Harris, killing her.

Inside of...Harris' car? This is the second time I've seen this mentioned now. They were talking about where there was a gun in the victim's car?

quote:

The investigator claimed that on the day of slaying, Miles and Davis were in the backseat of Miller's car while Harris was sitting in the passenger seat of another vehicle, according to the Corvallis Gazette-Times.

I've seen this claim made a few times (that they were in the back seat of Miller's car), but that wasn't how it was originally reported by al.com (quote below). I also scrolled through a few of the "Corvallis Gazette-Times" articles about this, but then hit a paywall. Wasn't able to find anything like this in the 2 articles I was able to view, but it looked like they may have 1-2 more. Most of their articles about this appear to just be repostings of AP articles.

Here's what al.com said happened:

quote:

Miles and Davis walked to Miller’s car and got something - believed to be the gun - out of the back seat.

I realize al.com's reporting was extremely flawed, but I'd really like to see the original source for the claim that Miles and Davis were in the car when the gun was exchanged. al.com was clearly trying to paint Brandon in a bad light with their reporting, because they're nothing more than click-bait hacks, so I find it hard to believe they would have left out something that would have made him look even worse than they already did. I tried to look for the court transcript but I guess I don't know how to find things like that.

He hasn't quite reached the obsessive level he achieved with the Will Wade debacle, I bet he gets there very soon.

People Magazine didn't even check what the Corvallis Gazette-Times misreported.

quote:

Miles allegedly told Davis where the gun was located inside Harris' car,

Who's car was the gun in?
