As a UKBB fan I have to throw the "greatest team ever" loss to Wisc in the hopper... nothing like 38-1.

2008 Cotton Bowl. The great McFadden no-show while Mizzou's Tony Temple set the Cotton record for TDs that still stands. Look! LOOK! Temple just scored again...poor poor r-kansas.
Who's your daddy piglets??? Come on say it or we'll beat that azz again. Say it you low-life mofos...
Here's the total loser r-kansas baby excuse every, every time..."no coach" . LMAO! It's more like, no program.
Y'all like to talk about kicking Mizzou out of the SEC. Well, look at the prison rapes we put on r-kansas. I'd start with these low-lifes.

Jesus... show me on the doll where we rustled your Jimmy's.
This is your biggest choke in SEC history? You weren't even in the SEC at that point.
Generally I think psychiatry is a complete waste of money... but you may be the exception. PTSD is real.

Oh man...as it pertains to UGA, the "immaculate reception" against Auburn. I still get nauseated thinking about it. We storm back in what would have been the greatest comeback in UGA memory only to have them throw a dagger through our hearts with that freakun, crazy pass. Honest to God, I had to hold my lips together to keep from throwing up just out of pure shock and disgust.

I mean, the Arky foul ball is objectively #1 unless we're just sticking to football.

21-0 was not a choke job... It was a stupid Les Miles script executed to the tee.

2009 UF Football. Best roster, on paper, in the history of CFB. Returned the entire defense from a team that completely shut down the greatest offense in the history of CFB to date. Returned Tebow. Returned studs at RB and WR. Returned, I think, 4 future NFL linemen, maybe 5, with two of them probably going to the HOF. Favorable schedule. Urban Meyer choked and the team cratered, basically from day 1. Played down to the competition in every game that year except the FSU game. Partied the week of the SECCG, best pass rusher got a DUI, got waxed by Bama. First play of the SECCG by Bama can't even be called with Carlos Dunlap on the field. When I saw that play I was like, "ok, this one is over." Easily the most likely team in history, on paper, to finish with 3 out of 4 possible titles, and Meyer blew it. Melted down, and essentially destroyed the program. Charley Pell did a lot to build the UF program but got in hot water with the NCAA. Spurrier rescued UF from probation and built a dynasty. Ron Zook was not great as a coach, but recruited like crazy and filled the roster with talent. Meyer did an amazing job for 4 years, won two titles, then melted down in 2009 and 2010, and the program has never recovered. Will Muschamp came close to outing some of the stuff Meyer did while he was in the building but on "rest", but he never came clean. I wish he would. UF could have been that program with 3 of 4 titles and a great roster heading into 2010 (along with a #1 recruiting class) with CAM NEWTON at QB. CAM NEWTON. To start 2009, Meyer was looking at a very reasonable opportunity to win 4 of 5 - and he blew it. The center of the college football universe, right now, would be Gainesville, FL - and Meyer blew it. Meyer would probably be getting paid about $15M/yr. Not only did he blow it, but Urban Meyer ruined the program. Ok, I'm done melting. Happy Saturday!
I enjoyed this post (obviously) and the context provided on all the talent UF had. And that was a beatdown Bama administered that night but still, I don’t think this belongs on the “biggest choke” list. UF ran into a buzzsaw that night and I don’t think there’s anything they could have done to change the results. Bama almost and probably should have beat them in 2008, but they didn’t quite have the horses to get it done at the end, and Tebow just did his thing and made it happen in the fourth. 2009 was always doing to be Bama’s year.

I mean he won 2 national titles and was on the doorsteps of another in 2009 from 2006-2009. That’s a pretty fricking strong 4 year run. He went 13-1 in 2009. The defense shut down everyone but Alabama. Bad single games happen.
