Women’s basketball is an unwatchable sport

You people can pretend you enjoy it because your team is good and you’re paying your coach $6mil a year or whatever the frick…
But watching a bunch of really unattractive women with all the athleticism of a male in middle school attempt to play shooty hoops is awful. Infinite chest passes and attempted layups, sloppy handling, etc.
Just an awful product.

WNBA, whose players are substantially better, is more unwatchable than college?
Idk man. I just dk. The only thing remotely fun about this product is the large crowd who has gathered in attempt to bolster their self worth with their fanhood. They ain’t there because it’s fun to watch, that’s for sure.

It’s never been watchable and never will be watchable
I don’t understand why they have a lighter basketball but refuse to lower the goals as a point of pride.
I’d put forward that softball is a significantly more watchable sport relative to baseball than women’s basketball is to men’s basketball because they made changes to the game to help account for some of the physiological differences in the athletes. Womens basketball is like fitting a square peg into a round hole.

Yeah I saw that and it’s the only reason I even remembered they played with a lighter ball. There exist videos of WNBA players getting offended at the idea of lowering the goals but playing with a different ball is just fine. It’s pretty stupid.
Also have to love ESPN pimping the shite out of women's basketball the last few years. I guess I’m happy for the athletes because it isn’t really their fault their sport is horribly bad compared to the male counterpart, but no amount of marketing is going to change that men don’t care about women’s basketball because it’s a garbage product.

It's an awful product. They should have gone the softball route and basically designed a basketball-adjacent sport for women. A game that involves putting a ball through a basket 10 feet off the ground is not meant to be played by a bunch of girls under 6 feet tall with minimal vertical leaping ability.

Think this is exactly right. It's the same game the men are playing which makes it blindingly obvious that you're watching the game be played at a low level when you watch the women.
