Or is it tungsten or something else?
If a 17 year old in High School can't hit a ball, "without help" from a $300 Aluminum bat from Hibbett, instead of a heavy Louisville, then he has failed you in life.
Right, Baws?
Too early for baseball, and too early to buy baseball crap for your kids while hoping for tax refund money. Spend it more wisely Baws.

I'll TLDR for you. MLB gets the highest grade wood bats. BBCOR bats mimic wood. It is economical for amateur baseball.

Eastons are metal.

Highest grade wood?
Hilarious.
Wood vs. Metal. A scam is a scam.
Is a College Baseball field for men "shorter" than an MLB field?

Because it’s not a major college sport.

I'm still upset the Nebraska cancelled their baseball program.

Let me guess, you want tennis to go back to wooden racquets and golf back to persimmon?

Go back?
I still use wooden clubs in golf. Old, but absolutely dependable.
What are you driving with, lol?

This
They limit the "pop" of the aluminum bat, so that it only has the same power as wood. Aluminum is a lot more durable, so it's cheaper for the schools and players to swing aluminum versus wood.

wood bats aren't cost effective. Plain and simple

Tennessee played with wooden bats one game last year and it went very poorly.

They are Cedar and Mahogany (mix) with 4 nails, but they never fail.

Wood bats are heavy. Most Louisville Sluggers still have tar in the middle.

You sure do start a lot of threads about a sport you claim to not care much about.

Nope. Their tiny College biceps aren't ready yet.

To answer the question. Money. It’s much less expensive to use metal versus wood.

The "pop" that they feel is a false gratification...knowing that they hit a home run outside of high school, and never made it to to minor-leagues.
College Baseball is a useless ladder to eventual failure. It wastes people's time(s).
We should be more constructive in life.
