Washington offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb will remain with the school after meeting Monday with Alabama coach Nick Saban about the Crimson Tide's coordinator vacancy, sources told ESPN.
Grubb, who completed his first season at Washington, traveled to Tuscaloosa and met with Saban and others. He had emerged as a top target for Alabama, which is looking to replace Bill O'Brien, who left to fill the New England Patriots' offensive coordinator vacancy.

After interviewing at Alabama yesterday for their OC job and receiving an offer, Ryan Grubb has decided to stay at Washington, according to a source with direct knowledge of the situation. No new money involved, I'm told.

Again? Two times in one day? Bama should be embarrassed.

You should probably post that a few more times. Seems like pent up rage.

I hate Alabama as much as the next guy but this guy is a fricking idiot…unless he just didn’t want to live in Tuscaloosa that much

Coaches use these interviews to drive their salaries up.

How is he an idiot? Grubb makes $2M a year with a QB that will probably be a first rounder next year in Penix Jr.
Are you saying not leaving a job for the exact same pay and title is a bad decision? If he had turned down a significant raise, maybe. If Grubb stays hot, he maybe a P5 coach next year or the next, for a blue blood too.

When it says “no new money”, that means they wanted him to leave to Bama just bc it’s Bama? Why is that in the tweet?

It means he didn't get another raise.

So he probably turned down a Bama pay bump stay at Washington? Interesting
