This is very, very unlikely but he fits the Saban rehab.
1. He’s an offensive genius
2. He’s a phenomenal recruiter
3. He is very much in need of a rehab.
4. He fits our players
5. He’d need at least a 2 year rehab so we’d have him.
Less than 5% chance this happens but it would be fun.

I kind of wish Saban waits to make these announcements just so he can see how crazy message boards get for his on entertainment.

He does not need college rehab. I am pretty sure his phone is ringing off the wall, or in his butt pocket. His only failure was the NFL year. He has too much baggage for even NS at this late stage of his carrer. He is getting long in the toof right.

Haha. This was definitely a crazy one for me. I just kept hearing Dan Mullen and thought what about the guy who created Mullen and actually likes to coach like saban likes to coach?

I think he does. The Ohio St domestic violence “cover up” is likely what’s keeping him from a major job. I’m sure Urban’s phone has been ringing but I doubt he’s interested in anything outside of a top 20 job. Those schools aren’t calling him right now. If he comes to Bama as OC and puts on a great offense leading to a national champion or 2 the first top 20 job with an opening will have him as number one on the list.

Did Urban make his pitch to Saban back in Nov?

How many national media pundits were saying we should’ve been in? Urban said none of the top 4 teams would’ve won both of those games either. Is this happening?

Lol. It’s not a prediction. It was an out of the box what if.

I still stand by it being Kingsbury. The timeline just makes too much sense.
Same thing with Pruitt at DC. DC isn’t even worth talking about anymore imho because it’s going to be Pruitt as long as the NCAA doesn’t drop the hammer on him before it’s announced.
Saban likely has already hired our OC. He knew BoB wasn’t getting renewed. So he’s likely just waiting for KK to get back from vacation to announce it.

He’s more likely to be the Saban replacement than the offensive coordinator

That works well too though right? Meyer gets the lower stress job of OC for the next 5-8 years then he takes over as HC. Once again very, very unlikely but it would be the best OC hire ever. Saban/Meyer/Pruitt is the greatest top 3 coaches on one team ever. We will have nothing but 5 starts in the 2024 class. Lol

Urbs is almost 60 and has heart and health issues. You guys really think he is going to be healthy enough to coach like NS. I would not be shocked if he is done with coaching at any level.

As an OC? Heck yes. Guy is a wizard with offenses. As a HC? Pass. But Urban is rich, he has no reason to come back to work for a guy like Saban unless he's trying to angle for one more HC run.
