We're about to see what Kirby Smart and Georgia are really made of.

Just over a week ago, all of college football was grieving for and with UGA over the loss of Devin Willock, 20, and Chandler LeCroy, 24. However as time progresses and we learn more details about the situation, it seems like there was a little bit more to the tragic accident. "Scandalous" might be too strong a word, so questionable might better describe the events of that night. As the local and national media bring more details to light, the worse things look for UGA. While reserving comment on the accuracy or efficacy of the reporting, I DO fully expect things to get worse for UGA before they get better.
With that background information, I get to the title of this thread. We're about to see what Kirby Smart and Georgia are really made of. Kirby has yet to face something like this within the UGA program. A minefield has be laid out in front of Kirby and his next steps are critical. This is WAY beyond deer antler spray folks as two young adult died in the crash.
Right now, the spotlight is focused squarely at the UGA program. We're all about to find out how deep this goes. UGA fans will under play the severity of it all, but they shouldn't. They should all have grave (no pun intended) concerns about what happens next. Last week UGA fans were posting threads about Kirby winning 10 nattys in a row. But make no mistake about it, this is exactly the sort of thing that can bring down an entire program for a LONG time. <--- Thread edited here because of a bad analogy.
Good Luck UGA fans and buckle up. The road is about to get bumpy.

For some reason, I didn’t expect this kind of pathetic desperation from a Carolina fan, but I have a feeling you are going to be very disappointed. Just to set the bar, what exactly do you hope to see happen?

This is exactly the response I was expecting. But, that's honestly not where I'm coming from with this thread. But I understand the kneejerk defensive response. I really do.
For just 5 mins, we should all take off our hats of fandom and recognize this situation for what it really is. It a situation that has the potential to undermine a CFB juggernaut. If that happens or not remains to be seen, but to not recognize that the POTENTIAL for that to happen IS there. The outcome all depends on what Kirby Smart and the UGA administration do next. And it's why I titled the thread the way I did.

It was a nice run by Kirby, but I think we all realize that run has come to an end.

I'm 100% serious. UGA fans need to figure this out quickly;
this situation is not to be trifled with.

Many questions remain unanswered, however. Foremost among them: Why were two university employees out with two student-athletes at such a late hour, riding in a rented vehicle like those the football program uses to transport potential recruits?

Insurance premiums are gonna go up? Oh no. We will never recover.

Be flippant at your own peril.
Good luck.

I'm glad you can use the deaths of 2 young adults to post such a shitastic thread

Wait, there is video of the football players and employees leaving a strip club together right before the accident?

I think I made it pretty clear that we were all sympathetic to the families of the deceased and UGA as a whole when this news broke last week.
But that's not really what this thread is about. This thread is about how UGA's head coach handles the next few weeks and months to navigate what started off as a tragedy (and still is for the families of the involved) but has morphed into something a little deeper and darker.

Make no mistake, Insurance prices are a big deal when you get to the big leagues. If you don’t get a good quote, you are fricked. Don’t waste your one in a lifetime chance to become an elite program Shane.

I mean this is a huge deal

A late-night visit to a strip club preceded a car crash that killed a University of Georgia football player and an employee of the school’s football program, raising questions about boundaries between the program’s staff and its athletes.
Surveillance video obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution shows Georgia offensive linemen Warren McClendon and Devin Willock, along with other players, leaving Toppers International Showbar in downtown Athens about 2:30 a.m. Jan. 15. They were accompanied by two women who strongly resemble the UGA employees involved in the fatal crash barely 15 minutes later.

Congrats on engaging in the same baseless assumptions as Chip Towers and the AJC
Nothing will happen from this, but congrats on getting a shitty troll attempt off.
Please, if you can conjure up the brain power (doubt it), tell us what could possibly come from this tragedy?
