Why is it so hard to accept that both Alabama and Oklahoma fans can be proud of Jalen?

I’m genuinely confused. Jalen left Bama after helping us win a national championship and 2 SEC championships. He gave Oklahoma a conference championship and monster season that catapulted his draft stock. He ended his college career at one place has a degree from the other. I get the trolling from rival teams though. I’d do it too. I know I’m proving some kinda point about Bama fans just by starting this thread

It’s an ornery message board. We will troll the national champion for not looking crisp enough even when they win by 58. Deal with it.

The biggest thing in his development in my opinion was 2018 competing with Tua for the starting job. Looked like a completely different QB against us in the SECCG that year.

I'm sure OU will say it's Lincoln, but Lincoln's QBs have been overvalued in the league so far. Except for JH.

Dude acts like a woman in an abusive relationship with Saban. Like we get it, you wish you were with him. You're not anymore. You were run out of T Town and Saban never loved you.

Man, who gives a frick about this?

Jalen Hurts did not play for either school because he loved them. He played because he felt they gave him the best opportunity to be successful. And he probably played for Saban and Riley more than UA and OU.

This is the reason fans hate NIL and the transfer portal. They desperately want players to love the program like they do instead of playing for money or opportunity.

But the reality is fan love for players and player love for fans is all extremely superficial and conditional. Even more so for coaches.

The players and coaches are all mercenaries looking out for their own self-interests, and you’re all spectators in the Colosseum with your thumbs down for a death blow when one of them doesn’t live up to expectations.

When he left A1abana, you (and scum like you) attacked and berated him until his mother had to step in and say “Stop it you stupid, fat fricks.”

When he left Oklahoma, he was thanked for his time.

See the difference? TIA

Because LSU fans have extreme little dick syndrome when it comes to Alabama.

You shouldn't base anything you believe on this particular message board. It's filled with trolls who should have been banned from the site years ago.

Be “ proud “. But don’t try to claim a guy for your school that gtfo. It reeks of desperation. And with the portal, we all need to agree that where you last played after transferring out, is your school.

Jalen Hurts Oklahoma.

He’s going to win a much bigger Natty in a few weeks, btw.

I don't thinks it's wrong for Bama fans to be proud of Hurts, it's just weird to "claim" him.

I don't think Ohio State fans pretend Burrow is an alum.

I don't think UGA fans count Eason or Fields as alums.

It's just weird. Bama is historically the best team in the conference, but that doesn't mean everything that is successful is because they touched it.

Trying to claim a player that left the team is just a weird sort of desperation more worthy of a lower-tier program.

Alabama has so many great players to point too, it's just hard to see why they are so insistent on this one.
