Some rumblings about Joe Brady already... Not sure if I'm sure it wasn't all Joe Burrow. Plus the recruiting angle... But hard to question the man

Highly doubt that will happen, but imagine the SEC Rant and Tiger Rant melts if it did.

For those against Mullen I will post Kyle Trask's stats the year he was QB under Mullen at Florida. I'll even throw up Mac Jones' to compare.

This was the covid year.

Kyle Trask - 12 games, 4,283 yards, 43 TDS, 8 INTs

Mac Jones - 13 gmes, 4,500 yards, 41 Tds, 4 INTs

This was with a drop back QB that couldn't run, we all know he is good with mobile QBs too, see Tim Tebow and Dak Prescott.

You may not like Mullen's personality, I don't either, but he is a great offensive coach, he has two rings as an OC last I checked.

Mullen put together some unbelievable offenses as the OC at Florida.

He would be a great hire.

Yeah, but Mullen is also responsible for Felipe Franks, so…

Felipe Franks is responsible for Felipe Franks. He sucked at multiple schools.

I'd rather Mullen than Brady(who may end up the Jets' OC).

He's a great offensive mind that has worked with a plethora of styles due to the talent at hand. He's had top rushing offenses in the SEC, and he's shown he can produce a 4000+ yard passer.

And, while it should absolutely be secondary for offensive coordinators, he's not a bad recruiter. You put your OCs on QB targets and local guys anyway...

If we got Brady, the LSU melt down would be epic.

Go with Mullen and you'll have an OC for a year then a jump to head coach somewhere. Not saying good or bad, just may not want a one year guy.

Not sure how he and Saban would work together and didn't care for how he talked about Bama at end of season on ESPN either.

Same situation as the Kiffin and Sark hires those worked out well.

Really any OC we hire isn't gonna be here long if he does well. Even Locksley got a HC job pretty quickly.

Mullins has been rumored as a candidate for our OC spot for a while now, and TI/Rodney posted this morning that he had heard that Brady would possibly have interest in it (at least I'm assuming that is where the Brady talk is coming from).

That's interesting, the talk since he left LSU had been that he hated recruiting and would likely never coach in college again.

He would be a great hire if he is interested.

Yeah, it has always been rumored that Brady does like recruiting, and preferred the NFL. But Rodney normally doesn't haphazardly post whatever he hears. Normally when he posts something it's because he 1) trusts the source and 2) feels that it could come into play.

But with that said, he only said that we was told that Brady "would possibly have interest if indeed O'Brien departs as expected". So Brady "possibly" having interest doesn't necessarily mean he is a serious candidate.
