Bama fans are pathetic. The tide was hot trash this year and the committee was right to keep them out.
Not exactly…Bama could have been undefeated or lost a couple more close games. Same could be said for all the teams this year. Hell UGA struggled with Mizzou. A lot of it deals with focus for those teams that clearly have more talent yet lay an egg some weeks. If you know what you’re talking about in terms of football, Alabama clearly has the talent to compete for a Natty this year. They played at times below their abilities but when they are focused and “on”…they can match any team in this year’s slate, and that includes UGA.
I don’t know where your bias comes from but calling “balls and strikes” as a football fan, you know Bama could have hung with any of the teams in the playoffs this year if they stayed on point in any given game against any of the top 4., heck this applies to pretty much any of the Saban teams since 2008. The only time Bama ever got run was against Clemson a few years back. The talent is there and you should know that.

teams was never enough teams. Alabama and Tenn both deserved to be in this year.
No they didn’t. Both lost 2 regular season games and neither played or won their division/conference.
2 competitive games in the semifinals is the exception not the rule, so it will more than likely result in more bad games than good.

The only thing I like about an expanded play-off is that the higher ranked teams will have a chance to play the game in their home stadium . As it is now, only a select few teams have the luxury of having a psuedo home game for a chance at the championship..

I think it’ll make for some good matchups for sure. The only concern for me is the teams that have just accumulated more talent than everyone else will be able to sleep through the first 15 weeks of the season. Georgia loses to Mizzou or Kent ST? Who cares

Go back to 11 games. Eliminate the conference championship game. Use that week for the first round of the playoffs.
Have the national championship game on New Year's Day.

So Alabama fans do no want playoff expansion until they don't make the playoffs and now they want the expansion?

4 is fine but yes 6 maybe 8..12 insane..reg season rendered meaningless ..

My optimal playoff was a 6 teamer with the top two seeds getting a bye” to reward them. I think 6 is plenty and is demonstrably plenty most years. This year would have had Alabama and Tennessee in, as it appears should be warranted, and the two undefeated teams would have received byes. You also stand a good chance at getting most the conferences in with a rep and don’t water things down too much at 6.
Problem with your logic. They have already demonstrated that with an expanded playoff they would want to put the P5 champions and 1 G5 team, so Alabama and Tennessee would still not make a 6 team playoff.

So Alabama had a hard time focusing on Texas, Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss and Texas A&M?
You don't award teams the playoffs to teams that have high rankings and under performs.

4 is more than enough. Any team who fails to make it in should've taken care of business in the regular season. There were only 2 undefeated teams following conference championship week. Honestly the BCS would work just fine most years, making every game count again. These days whenever it looks like Bama might take it's first L of the season, I don't freak out like I used to because one loss doesn't even matter most years

So, you think Georgia would have a "home" game because we are 50 miles closer to Atlanta than Clemson is?
So, at what point does it cease to be a "home" game? At what distance? I am genuinely curious about this argument. Would it be considered a home game (for Georgia) if Georgia played USCw in the Sugar Bowl? I mean, it is closer. At some point people need to let go of that.

I'm sure that milage difference is why Clemson got boat raced by a Vols squad, despite Vols being down H Hooker

I just disagree. I think with more to play for , the regular season will be more exciting.

The only reason there going to 12 teams is, all the other conferences are crying that they can’t beat an SEC team, if there’s only 4 teams in said playoffs because most times 2 of those teams are from the SEC, but if they go to 12 then maybe, just maybe those SEC teams will slip up and lose, thus giving the other conferences a shot at finally winning
