Ahh, yes. Always appreciate the lazy, but fun “it’s this time but X still sucks” insult. That oddly I can relate with because we neither of us live in the mid west anymore.

I never said TCU belongs in the SEC. Nice try.

What I said was TCU understands that the SEC is the best conference in college football. Something UT doesn't seem to comprehend.

But we both know that UT doesn't actually care about any of that, and really only joined because they thought they would make more money. Since that's the only thing UT truly cares about when it comes right down to it.

Right.

See, A&M left the Big XII to get away from UT, and because they legitimately believed they could compete. Hence the upgrades and coaching salary.

They're there to win. As foolish as a lot of other SEC programs thought/think that is, at least that takes stones. Instead of showing up for an L and a paycheck, which we all know the other SEC teams will be more than happy to oblige you.

Say what? We're spending 17.1 million annually on coaching salaries in the big 2. Just drawing a fricking check, my arse.

Is that why OU is fighting tooth and nail to join?

If the SEC disinvited OU, there’d be a meltdown in Norman and your hillbilly boosters would be preparing the pitchforks.

In this century, the SEC has produced:

- the most national championships
- the most individual teams who have won national championships (thus destroying the “top heavy” allegation)
- the most bowl wins
- the most NFL players (thus proving it is the most talented conference by a wide margin)
- the most Heisman winners

Why is the Big 12 falling to pieces? Why was the Big 12 forced to play each team against each other in the regular season (lest they lose P5 status)? Why is the Big 12’s only playoff team predicted to be throttled by a team historically owned by the SEC (30-11 lol)?

100% false

Aggie left because Larry Scott, PAC 12 commish called and told President Loftin that UT was committed to leaving for the PAC 12 and was telling the PAC 12 that Aggie was going to the PAC 12

Aggie wanted nothing to do with west coast bullshite

Give NIL time to kick in. I am afraid most of the traditional power programs in the SEC will not like it.

Bowtie was 100% sick of UT, primarily for two reasons...

One was disproportionate conference revenue sharing, and two was the LHN and the diminished rights package and leverage that A&M had. Not to mention its desire to run high school games that would give it a massive recruiting advantage.

The fallout of the loss of Nebraska and Colorado, and UT's hand in that. Then, utilizing the weakened conference position and using its weight to set itself above schools like A&M for success.

It was about UT's financial advantage. This West Coast horseshite is just that. It was about money, TV rights and recruiting. All of which make sense, unlike some he said/she said West Coast melodrama.

Yeah, you clearly haven’t researched this

If Aggie hadn’t been invited to the SEC, Horn would’ve gone to PAC 12, with OU

And I have no way to be 100% certain, but I’m 99.9 % certain Aggie would have gone with them just like Deloss wanted

Actually, we all know the legal ramifications that were involved. If by "Texas" you mean the state legislature, and in response to Ann Richards using her political clout to include one team over its rival. AKA the "Not without my Baylor" declaration that ensured one team gained admittance over another -- then yeah.

As TCU wandered in the wilderness, that was beginning to take shape, due to the monies involved. And you know how the state legislature loves to insert themselves in any arena dealing with potential money, as they believe it gathers them easy votes.
