Imagine if Petrino wouldn’t have been right during Saban getting that ship right? Probably would have been in the NC.

Petrino lost several games to bad officiating. Every coach before Petrino faced an easier SEC schedule.

Sam may have had more wins if he didn’t have that covid year without ooc cupcakes on the schedule. But he did win some conference games which was what he was hired to do.

Maybe the worst thing that could have happened to him was winning 9 games so quickly and elevating expectations. We tend to forget how bad things were for so long.

We went 4-1 in one score games last year. 1-4 this year. We won the coinflips last year and didn't this year. Winning most of them made people think this program had progressed further than it has.

We got both extremes but managed to still have two winning seasons. Not super stoked but I'm still not far enough removed from Bert/Chad to be disappointed.

A disappointing winning season and winning a bowl game is pretty uncommon for our program. Some people in our fanbase need a reality check.

Couldn’t have said it better. People forget how many close games we won last year. We lost most of those games this year, for a myriad of reasons. That said, several of the losses this year were due to (what I believe) to be coaching errors. Pittman isn’t the second coming of Saban but he’s no Chad Morris either.

The Arkansas fans have to learn to take the bad with the good for now. Hopefully Pittman will continue to learn and grow and become a better coach, or can pave the way for the next guy to elevate the program

Just thinking about the 2009 Florida game makes me insta-rage.

When even Gary fricking Danielson is wondering what the hell is going on, there’s a problem.

What’s the difference between Pittman and Bielema?

Not much. And, frankly, Bielema wasn't nearly as bad of a coach as he gets a rep for.

It was his off the field shenanigans that did Bert in

Seems he’s cleaned up and sobered up at Illinois

Gotta take this with a grain of salt considering Sam didn’t get any OOC cupcake rent-a-wins in his first year. Probably goes 6-6 with a normal schedule.

falling asleep during a recruiting visit, not showing up for others, being a drunk and losing games....

Burt was Nutt with a drinking problem and a larger appetite, and mouth.

Pittman is a better human and coach.

Nutt was gifted a redonkously loaded team his first year here. That sort of carried him the first couple of years. You could make a good argument that he underachieved at Arkansas given the state of the SEC West and the talent he had. And as far as bowl games... best left unsaid.

Bert looked like he had things going in the right direction before his off the field issues completely torpedoed things. I'm glad it looks like he's gotten his life straightened out.

Pitt walked into a much worse situation. Program was straight dead and Covid shite going on. He won 3 games in an all SEC schedule. Won 9 and got the best bowl win we have had since 2011 his second year (A better record than Bert ever had).

Bert didn't walk into a great situation but still underachieved. He won 3 games with 4 OOC cupcakes on the schedule. BERT DIDNT WIN AN SEC GAME UNTIL MID-NOVEMBER OF HIS SECOND SEASON. He went 2-6 in the SEC and won a bowl game equal to the Liberty that season going 7-6. That bowl win was the pinnacle of his time here.

So, even without mentioning the shite show of his last year on campus or his off the field antics, I think the things I mentioned have shown there is a big difference between the two when actually examined.
