Taking over a program with only 39 eligible scholarship players coming off back-to-back 6-6 seasons. Changing the entire football staff from analyst to strength and conditioning, and on the field coaches, just keeping one on field coach. Being Alabama winning the West in his first year cover no other coach had to go through all the changes that Kelly did.

I know Dykes will win, but Kelly did a better coaching job for what he inherited in a harder conference.

Sonny Dykes took over a team that was expected to win 5 or 6 games, and they’re going to the playoffs.

How different is that to a normal season?

LSU fans love to flash around that 39 number, but LSU returned 63% of their production from 2021 which is more than 5 other SEC teams. Nearly every good player they had last year came back.

No. He was beat down by TAMU. Should be on the hot seat.

It's certainly more impressive than getting destroyed with a playoff spot on the line against a 4-7 team.
