Which school is more pathetic? UCF claiming a natty for winning a NY6 bowl, or Tennessee for claiming 6 natty’s when they only have two that are actually legit?
My answer: Tennessee

1941 says hello. 9-2, finished 3rd in SEC and claim national title
1965- 9-1-1 Record yet still claim National Title. Lost to UGA and tied with Tennessee
That’s just 2. I’m not going through the rest.

UCF by far. Tennessee is relevant. UCF is in the land of make believe.

For those who don't want to look it up...here are the 6 that UT claims:
1938 - 11-0 - Beat Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl. #1 in Berryman, Billingsley, Boand, Dunkel, College Football Researchers Association, Houlgate, Litkenhous, Poling, Sagarin, Sagarin (ELO-Chess). Finished #2 in the AP. AP #1 was 11-0 TCU.
1940 - 10-1 - Lost to Boston College in the Sugar Bowl. #1 in Dunkel and Williamson. #4 in AP poll.
1950 - 11-1 - Beat Texas in the Cotton Bowl. #1 in Billingsley, DeVold, Dunkel, Football Research, National Championship Foundation, Sagarin (ELO-Chess). #4 in AP, #3 in Coaches Poll.
1951 - 10-1 - Lost to Maryland in the Sugar Bowl - #1 in Litkenhous, Williamson. #1 in AP, #1 in Coaches poll.
1967 - 9-2 - Lost to Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl - #1 in LItkenhous. #2 in AP, #2 in Coaches poll.
1998 - 13-0 - Beat Florida State in Fiesta Bowl (BCS Championship Game) - #1 in BCS, FW, National Football Foundation, USA Today. #1 in AP, #1 in Coaches Poll.
In my opinion, the 1939 team is the one that got gyped. Finished the season unbeaten and unscored on. Dropped from #1 to #4 in the AP Poll during a Bye week. The team that jumped from #2 to #1 was also on a Bye week. So, neither team did anything to warrant the change. Finished the regular season #2 in the AP.

Thirty something year old men arguing over stuff that happened in the 60's is the most pathetic.

Looks like Georgia Claims 1942 on multiple sites...including the university website, even though Ohio State was the AP champion.
