Could have been prevented… Or at least delayed for a good while. All they were asking was just a little bit extra on their stipend.

anyone with a shred of a brain cell could see this happening and see how it could potentially ruin the sport.

But nah, yall wanted your NCAA vidya game so badly that we had to pay the poor lil ol players getting exploited by EA sports and now look where we are

NCAA football and basketball are professional leagues now. The sooner everyone accepts it, the sooner we can get back to a stable place.

Other sports will be wrecked because only the top handful of schools will pay their players.

What he really means is The Walton Family and Jerry need to start digging a little deeper into their pockets and pony up a lot more Benjamin’s.

LOL.Not even close and the NCAA vs Alston was 9-0 SCOTUS
decision and clearly stated schools/NCAA couldn't limit the income of players.

BTW almost every school has different amounts paid out for the COA stipends because of the screwy formula used.

The NCAA could have gotten in front of this and allowed on case by case basis if a player got a royalty from a jersey sale or got his $341 check from EA sports for having his name featured.

The NCAA sat back and did nothing. They actually did worse than nothing, by doing nothing they were doing something, like they intentionally wanted to watch it all burn with the hottest most passionate level of passive-aggression I have ever seen.

I’ve said from the beginning. The people behind pushing this have the nefarious goal of destroying college football. They used naive kids and fans to justify it to the public.

If so... Only a year maybe two max. Once that door was opened it was getting kicked in.

that is what this whole entire thing SHOULD have been about from the very start. Let a kid get his share of the pie from bookstore jersey sales or school-sponsored autograph sessions or whatever. Then somehow they're shocked when we're paying 17 year old recruits 7 figures before playing a snap.
