Leach’s pneumonia during the season

I’ve seen the articles saying Leach had pneumonia during the season. I’m not a medical expert but surely he would have had a full medical check up to determine cause?
I guess the tricky part is we don’t know if the heart event on Sunday was related or not. I just can’t help but wonder if this could’ve been prevented. Not trying to blame anyone… I don’t know I just wish we still had the pirate around.

Could be many different things. From prior unknown issues to vaccine related. We don’t know at the moment

Things with heart can mask as lungs with cough and such. If the cough grows worse (and tiredness) it is fluid building up around the heart,

Unfortunately being a college football coach is probably the worst occupation for someone with heart issues outside or running a smoker’s lounge. Maybe he knew about them and wanted to go out on his own terms, old school coaches are like that so he was doing what he loved imho

We don't know shite yet too many of you on this board keeps pushing the vaccine bullshite with ZERO reasons to do so. You people do realize that people died at young ages before vaccines, right?

Who is to say he wasn't fully aware of an underlying serious condition that he was indeed being treated for, and still died? Why do people assume this was something he and his family simply ignored or were unaware of?

He was overweight and had an unhealthy diet and was proud to tell you about it. Must be the vaccines

Pneumonia puts stress on the heart and if he had lingering pneumonia it put undue stress on his heart
Even treating it may be difficult and require hospitalization to properly treat it and yes being a head football coach is not a lifestyle conducive to rest which he likely needed
Most doctors recommend pneumonia shots every few years the older you get as it becomes more deadly the older you get
Now if he had some heart issues that he may not have known about than the pneumonia exposed those conditions and he may have had some underlying heart issues that went undetected

Misdiagnosed possibly. Pulmonary embolism may have been the real issue all along.

I have plenty of questions. One is wondering what his doctors, or even a GP told him about getting a work up done on his cardiac health. Did he put off getting necessary checkups done? What did Leach know about his health?

If it was CHF and correctly diagnosed we would not have lost him so soon
Awareness and taliking about it could help somebody in the future
Leach was a coach, this could be an ultimate teaching lesson.
That beings said smokers do not usually stop

One I have been wondering about is sleep apnea, with his body weight and age, that can put great strain on the heart and with his lifestyle (coaching) may have thought bad sleep was part of the job.

Why are people losing their minds over what he said? He only said no one knows the cause or if it was vaccine-related.

That’s how my heart issues were discovered, a persistent cough that wouldn’t go away.
