We will look back and be glad we didn’t hire Lane Kiffin. That’s not to say we’ll be happy with Brother Hugh, but I believe we may have dodged a bullet.

Eh I think that tweet is fine. It is really funny that UK account posted a video where their player literally said "It's more of a grind over there, we are laid back here"

His player’s response to Lane was more mature than Lane’s. I respect the player now.
What was Lane defensive about? Comparing practice is cliche at this point. Players compare them under different HCs, at different schools, etc because microphones and recorders are in their face.

Unless I've missed something, the Twitter shite storm AU is dealing with is from a few unhappy fans and a lot of OM fans and fake accounts with Nov '22 join dates stirring the pot.
I haven't seen Freeze getting into back-and-forth Twitter battles with former players.
And the DM thing to the girl while he was at Liberty (that had frick all to do with anything with HF...it all happened years before HF got to Liberty) amounts to a big ole pile of nothing. He didn't intimidate, threaten, or any other description people want to throw on the DM to her. He asked a question and gave his opinion of the man she was dragging.

Except we’re talking football. Not whatever allegations she was throwing.
So we can ignore the Twitter shite storm. Fine with me. I’ve already taken that path. But my point is people are pointing to a tweet that will barely be mentioned anywhere but message boards and thanking god we didn’t hire him. While the guy we did hire, caused a MUCH bigger storm.

Kiffin responded, publicly, to one of his former players he has/had a relationship with because he got his feelings hurt about what the kid said (that you claim is a nothingburger, when it showsbhe hasbyet to let the childish shite go) that didn't paint Lane and the way he runs his practices in a positive light. And I'm not gonna sit here and say "we dodged a bullet" with Kiffin, but I'm also not going to dismiss and downplay every wrong thing he does while others are blowing insignificant shite about Freeze completely out of proportion.
Freeze DMd (aka not publicly) someone who he had no relationship with asking a legitimate question because she was dragging the AD, not Freeze personally, trying to understand where she was coming from.
If you or anyone else thinks Kiffin being publicly petty because one of his former players hurt his feelings and Freeze asking a completely harmless question out of the direct view of the public are the same thing, then idk what to tell those people.
