Ole Miss gave Kiffin a “Malzahn 2017” type of contract

It reminds me of when Arkansas came chasing after Gus in 2017. We paid way more than we should’ve and he lost his last 2 games of the season.

Kiffin got paid way more than he should’ve and lost 4 of his last 5.

Road schedule for next season: @ Auburn, @ Alabama, @ Georgia, and @ Mississippi State.

They’re looking at a 6-6/7-5 type of year and are going to be wondering why the hell they gave him that contact like Auburn did in 2018 with Malzahn.

Maybe so, but he's still going to be more successful than Hugh Freeze.

The contract was given when the Auburn stuff came out before Ark and State. I think everyone involved outside of Sexton and LK wished they could have waited until after the season to have that conversation.

At that time, Keith Carter would have been tared and feathered if he sat on his hands. He made the best contract he could and put it on Lane's desk. Lane didn't sign it until after the season and now you see what happened.

Just one of those weird situations where Lane fricked up and fell forward.

They are finally running out of steam, don't go getting them all stirred-up again.

Why can’t we let that die?

You mean when Malzhan & Sexton stirred the pot before the SECCG and cooked up "Gus is going to Arkansas!!" and in order to extort $49MM guaranteed out of your idiot President & BOT?

Steven Leath was a colossal failure that y'all ended up having to pay $1MM in hush money to get the hell out of town.

We are gonna be pretty good next year. Even with a tough road slate.

Very debatable. Freeze seems genuinely happy and appreciative to be at Auburn.

Kiffin is in it for himself, and doesn’t give a shite about ole miss.

Based on the early reports, Auburn actually low-balled the contract I expected we would give Kiffin. With that said, from what I understand Kiffin still had plenty of demands Auburn wasnt prepared to agree on, such as guaranteed money, and length of the contract.
