2 out of the 3 "A" teams in the SEC so far.

Kiffin turning down Alabama will complete the trifecta.

So are you saying Ole Miss will loose all those games?

8-4 is your ceiling. 5-7 is the floor.

In the end it doesn't matter really.... everyone got what they wanted

Ole Miss kept the coach they wanted
Auburn got a great coach. My first choice but we have some who wanted Kiffin more
Kiffin got paid
Freeze got paid
Most importantly, SEXTON got PAID

I think the reality is we wouldn't meet the terms Kiffin wanted so no official offer was made. I'm sure we floated numbers/terms and then Kiffin/Sexton did the same. We looked at what we could get Freeze for and looked at what it would take to get Kiffin and went with Freeze. Simple as. He probably wanted a Jimbo contract from Auburn. You guys gave him a "jimbo-lite" contract but he probably wanted us to give significantly more.

With that said, from what I understand Kiffin still had plenty of demands Auburn wasnt prepared to agree on, such as guaranteed money, and length of the contract.

So instead, Kiffin walked away and Auburn went with a much safer bet……..

We need to stop worrying about Lane Kiffin. He’s a good coach and will continue to do well. We need to worry about Freeze and Auburn and getting us and we need to be.

Ole Miss is now 4th or 5th in the pecking order for the SECW. Kiffin never really took advantage of LSU, A&M and AU being down as far as upgrading his coaching location.

What changed? Auburn hired a coach who went 5-7 in his last year in the SEC? And has no QB on roster? That jumps us?

Not really. I mean yeah he was our top target but he wanted his money fully guaranteed even if he left for another job. That wasn’t happening not when Freeze would crawl through broken glass to be at Auburn.

The only ones bitter are the ignorant ones who think he really intimidated an assault victim. That absolutely isn’t what went down.

Freeze fits the Auburn vibe more than Kiffin anyway. They will change their tune when he starts winning.

That said I was absolutely disappointed we didn’t get Kiffin until I learned he wanted his money even if he left for another job.

I totally agree with this. It's a stupid argument that keeps circling around.

confirmed; Auburn is poor.

He also seemed like a pretty stand up Christian at Ole Miss…..

Meh, if you listened to his press conference he was pretty open and transparent about his misdeeds and even how he plans to utilize NIL and the portal hard, and how he couldn’t do that at ole miss and got in trouble for it.

He’s not backing away or shy about anything.

Kiffin will leave for greener pastures soon, you know it’s coming, and we will all be laughing at y’all.

He cheated and still was an awful closer. He missed out on 90% of signing day decisions. He isn't the recruiter yall think he is I promise.

How did he cheat his arse off and still lose 90% of signing day decisions? Explain that to me.

Auburn recruits itself pretty well. I think a winning season next year and boosters finally emptying their pockets will be huge. We also have a new football facility that is top notch.
