I’m not sure a conference championship is enough to overcome Tennessee having fewer losses AND beating that arse by 28 on the road
Not that it matters. Dawgs by 3+ scores

I'm not sure either. It's an interesting debate though. Let's for the sake of argument say LSU wins by 28 over UGA. Does this outweigh the loss? Either way, the end of this football season is shaping up for some potential chaos.

I just heard the same thing

Obvious Pollack doesn’t want Tennessee getting a rematch. Lol

It would be interesting to see what they think.
LSU would have the best win. Would be conference champ.
But got whooped by the team you’re deciding between who also has one less loss.
Hard to imagine 2 SEC teams in without either of them being the champion.

My dream scenario is TCU and USC both losing before conference championship weekend, and so then the top 5 looks like this:
1) Georgia
2) Ohio State/Michigan winner
3) Tennessee
4) Ohio State/Michigan loser
5) LSU
If LSU beats Georgia, then the committee has two options. 1) Put three SEC teams in the playoff, or 2) Find a way to keep either LSU or Tennessee out.
It would be wild listening to all the SEC haters dancing in circles trying to find reasons Tennessee or LSU shouldn't be in at that point.

Especially in the best conference for the last 2 decades. SEC sucks, obviously.

Yep! I mean, everyone obviously loves their team and will stand on a desk pleading their cases. I would love for it to all work out in favor for LSU but I also am going to enjoy all the chaos that is about to happen over then next month!

Say this happens, with LSU being 5, they will definitely be in the top 4 with a win. With a TCU loss, I could see Tennessee getting in at 4, causing the havoc that's potentially building up to. Couple more weeks and we will definitely find out.

Did y'all watch LSU play Arkansas? No way Georgia loses to LSU unless they suffer some serious injuries before or during the LSU game.
But yes LSU will make it over Tennessee

TCU losing before conference championship weekend doesn't mean LSU jumps them

Correct.
They can't just say "congrats LSU for beating the team that WE ranked #1, but you are staying put at #5.

Yes it does.

No it doesn't. If USC wins out they will likely jump LSU as well

You're just wrong. Sorry.
Hopefully they do lose so you are proven wrong.

USC will jump LSU as soon as next week. Certainly if they beat both UCLA and Notre Dame.

So if LSU beats Georgia, and Ohio State beats Michigan, that doesn't put LSU over Michigan? How much merit would be placed in regards to strength of schedule vs being a conference champion (esp an SEC champ). I don't know but for me LSU goes in above Michigan at that point. If Michigan wins the B1G, then I don't think it matters what LSU does honestly cause LSU wouldn't get ranked above Ohio State.

I think you're right about USC, that is, if they win over ND and UCLA.
