As I have said all year we would probably be getting new coordinators on both sides of the ball all year, now people are saying Auburn should steal Briars…

RGIII

So who should we look at bringing in?

Realistically?
Because if Auburn actually did get Lane, Lebby would be the HC

Steele feels boom or bust to me as a DC.

He had pretty good defenses at Auburn and could be a very good replacement for Odom, but he could also be Chavis 2.0.

Go steal Bert's DC. They don't play shite for tough teams, but that guy is a defensive wizard. Illinois is top 3 in Defensive scoring efficiency this year.

We are in the 70s.

I'd also like to see how Lunney grades out. He would probably be a decent replacent if Breyers leaves, but I'd go with Jeff Lebby first of I had the choice because the transition would be seemless.

... Or bring in Art... I don't give a shite what anyone says.

I’d love it but ain’t happening. If it wa stop much of a shite storm for him to go to grambling think about what flak we would catch.

I know this, but it has been said on podcasts too.

I feel like he will be a G5 coach soon… maybe Houston.

I have said Lunney would be our next one, just because we have a 1 of ours mentality.

I think Lebby will get a p5 job soon, maybe this year.

He got ran off at a Texas High School didn’t he? How toxic do you have to be for that?

Way more likely than being an OC at another P5 program imo. I would guess he cares about being a HC over starting over at a P5 in the same position.

I understand why people like to discuss these types of things but seems kind of pointless at the moment before we get more settled at the end of the season. So many things can still change.

I don't think he got ran off, I know he did some improper stuff in terms using players and coaches improperly but I believe that was fairly minor overall. He was 20-6 when he resigned. Normally time heals all wounds but I don't think he is ever going to fully shake the Baylor stuff.

Pretty sure Dowell Loggains will be the next OC if he’s still on staff when Briles eventually leave.

Me either. I’ve seen folks say he’d just run the Briles offense because that’s what Pittman wants and what he’s been learning but I find it hard to think a former multi year NFL OC would be able to turn that pro style mindset off.

Butch Davis is around!

Hell, let's give Chavis another shot if we have to, never got a chance to bring in his guys.

Chaney too. They're all boys with ole pitt tits.
