I find this highly amusing.

Between Cox and Burton sure looks like we have let the ones go who should go.

Damn, what happened? He was the lynchpin of their defense, I was told.

Laughing at the folks that told me that Burton would improve his draft status at Bama. Even before he assault a young woman.

Cox will get more chamces in the nfl sadly because he actually is talented but a trainwreck mentally.

I don’t think I said it to you but I did say it to somebody. Boy that was a bad take on my part. I thought he was better than he is and was going to fill the shoes of metchie or Williams. NOPE.

He threw a punch at B Jones on our last touchdown.

No way that’s enough to get kicked off the Gator team. I thought that was encouraged.

Interesting. I saw after McIntosh was pushed into the end zone that Cox gave him a big shove after the whistle and then took a swing and hit the head of the OLineman that did the blocking. The Georgia players did an amazing job of not responding and the refs never threw a flag.

I guess Napier saw it though. Good for Napier and a fitting end to cox’s college football career imo.

Somewhere in the long thread about this on the Florida 24/7 board, one of their posters claims that he was dismissed because of the punch he threw, that he called Kirby a ‘lousy mfer during the postgame handshake, that he was the ringleader in a big locker room blowup after the game, and all his social media shenanigans.

Napier would not point out one thing that caused him to boot Cox. He said it was cumulative. I guess Saturday was the straw that broke the camel's back. I saw an article where Trey Dean III stood up for Cox. Sounds like Napier has more issues on the roster.

I just saw he said it wasn’t true. And if they’re close, I get standing up for your brother originally. But I’m sure Napier’s team will look different in year 2.

I think he did.. I know the game was all but over after that, but Cox didn’t come back in after that, but the rest of the first string D did.

Just a guess...they are close. Trey Dean went to Dutchtown High School in Henry County (Same school as Alabama's Will Anderson) and Brenton Cox went to Stockbridge High SChool thta is about 10-15 miles away from each other. They probably grew up playing against each other.

I agree. He’ll get transfers and will definitely improve the talent on their roster.

Probably.

But Florida depended upon transfers too much under muLLLLLen.
You don't improve culture through the portal.
Napier needs to find out what time of team that he wants in Gainesville.

Watching various highlights of last year’s games, I absolutely can not stand the way Burton acts when he scores or makes a big play.

I'd just like to say you guys were right about this one. Not that I didn't believe what you were saying about him, but you hope when given a 2nd chance people will appreciate it and make positive changes. That didn't seem to be the case here and it makes me wonder why it (the dismissal) didn't happen sooner.

I seem to have less patience for players who act the fool now that they are getting paid.
