Maybe you can try to 'control muh clock'. That'll work!
Or you can continue pre-melting.

It’s a great matchup for UT in almost every category(we average as much passing offense as UK does total offense) but that can all be erased with a couple ill timed turnovers.

Yeah, turnovers would be their only hope.

I specifically asked for this to be a game discussion thread, and for no alters to post, so it could be a discussion thread, and not a bunch of childish gibberish by some idiot who can't actually discuss sports, but only be an anonymous flamethrower on a message board.

Watched Hyatt's highlights/career day against Alabama. If Kentucky plays 5-10 yards off him and gives him a free release, he's due for another huge day.
You need to play the bend-don't-break defense. Tennessee thrives on the big play.
Most of their TD drives either start from a short field or have at least one "big play" consisting of 35+ yards.
10/16 TD drives (in SEC play) had plays of 35+ yards. If you remove the drives that started within the opponent's 40 yard line, that number is 10/13.
Now, how to stop Tenn/Hooker from those big plays? If I knew that I'd be a millionaire football coach.
tldr; Tennessee has scored TDs without "big plays" in only 3 TD drives in SEC play.

That's the problem. We don't even take thos shots until the defense tightens up on the back end. It's part of the scheme.
And they always do. Kentucky will, too.
And if by some miracle they don't, Tennessee is perfect inside the red zone. We have never NOT scored once in the zone.
So stopping the long throw won't keep us from scoring. Bend but don't break doesn't work against us either.

Nah. I know. I've already developed a defense to stop Heupel's scheme. And I'm not a millionaire football coach.

It would definitely matter, and if you remotely weren't trying to be a dick and instead engaged in good back and forth like the others on here, and/or knew about football, you'd know.
It's cool ya'll are really good, but it's not carte blanch to be an arse clown. Do better broseph.

Luna, go back to your hiding place and quit being a bitch. Some of us are sick and tired of your shite.
If you wanna mouth off, wait until we actually win some damn hardware again dipshit. We have five games left, and this one especially could bite us in the arse. Could.
We should win. But I’m sensing too much overconfidence this week.

I think they beat us by 3 scores. That said, I think we have a chance.

The UK run game vs the UT front 7 is one of the most interesting match ups to me. If UK can win that then they can make it interesting. If UT bottles it up or limits them in that area then it could be a long day for UK's hope at ball controll and playing keep away

Pretty much. We HAVE to be able to run the football. Y'all passing and run defense are skewed due to score.

Ya, that feels like the recipe for UK to stay in it. I remember you guys abusing us in that match up last season and extending drives all game. This is the best rush defense and front 7 that we've had in a long time though so I'm excited to see how it plays out and hoping for a little revenge

My take on UK. I think with or without levis didnt matter as much vs SC. What did matter was the fact that yall didnt establish the run early and often. If you effectively run the ball early and often, chew some clock and keep the UT defense on the field I think you can win.
if you go into a shootout, you won't win.

For some reason fans don`t consider players emotions
coming into a game.Tenn has possibly a matchup against
the #1 team next week.If you Tenn fans dont think the look
ahead syndrome won`t happen to your 18-21 yr old players
you just haven`t watched to much football over the years.
Teams at times take on the attitude of their piers and
their fans and I know the fans are already looking to next
week. This is the type of game where the underdog either
covers or wins.Ya`ll better watch out.

Thank you.
You have reason for confidence though. Props to Heupel and the team, you are a serious contender this year, not even joking.
I mean, this is why we play the game. On paper it looks like UK should lose by at least 2 scores based upon how the season has unfolded for both teams, but you never know how it's going to go. The first quarter will tell us a lot.
