Our pass D blows. Our run D is pretty good. Our pass rush isn't great, but ok at times.

What works well for us is our Run D has been stout. No one’s been able to lineup and just run to grind the clock. And while our Pass D has given up yards, they’ve also came in clutch at certain times.
Our D can get a few stops each game. Our Offense has only punted 3 times in 3 SEC games. When you math….it works out.

Giving up 3 yards a carry, top 15 in TFL only giving up 23 points a game.

The passing game will sputter a few times if you can’t rely on the run.
Bama wasn’t able to run very effectively even though Bryce Young played hero ball.
Tennessee’s offense so far has not been stopped more than a handful of times. If the defense is good for an equivalent number of stops then that’s good enough to win.

Before the "Great Gump Smackdown Heard 'Round The World", you'd be surprised at how many times I heard Gumps claiming that "we're all predicting a tennessee win", when in reality I only saw General Heisman saying that.

This year? You don't stand a chance. There is no way you can keep up, and no way you're grinding out anything against the run D that just essentially shut down Alabama.

As long as you can outscore anyone, defense is adequate.
But if the offense has a bad day, will the defense have a good day?
We'll see.
So far, Tennessee's defense has been good enough. They are 7-0 after all.
