Feel free to nominate others: as these are the only games I watched with earnest.

-Auburn’s Brian Harsin is a staple for this topic. Called a a fake punt on his own 40ish iin a 0-0 game in which his D is playing well. Result was of course a failure and gave UGA a short field TD. The game was essentially over with an insurmountable 7 point Dawg lead

-LSU’s Brian Kelly channeled his inner Joey Freshwater and repeatedly went for 4th down plays against the Vols. Down 10-0 after a rocky start, the Tigers pass on a FG and fail from the UT 10 in the 1st Q which would have made it a one score game Later in the 1st half, the Bayou Bengals go from their own 40ish. The resulting fail leads to an immediate long TD pass and the game was essentially over. Right before half, Kelly again goes from the Vols 40ish with around a minute left. The fail leads to good field position and the Vols have plenty of time to tack on a FG before half.

-As much as it pains me to it tGOAT here it is definitely warranted. Alabama’s Nick Saban somehow approved an offensive game plan that included lots of drop back throws for a backup QB who can run like a deer but who couldn’t hit sand on the beach. 3 bad TOs later, the Tide are in an absolute dogfight with a bad Aggie squad. The true bad coaching decision goes back a couple of years with the hiring of Bill O’Brien.

-Texas A&M’s Jimbo Fisher has one play from the two yard line to pull a road upset on the #1 team. His QB is obviously gimpy and has been less than stellar this season. The call, ask said QB to fit the ball into a really tight window at the goal line. Result, said ball sails out of bounds short of the end zone, game over.

I hadn't seen much of ashford yet other than some highlights but I was surprised at how bad of a passer he is. Extremely quick and definitely serviceable as a runner but holy cow that guy is one of the worst throwing QBs I've seen in recent memory.

I thought it was a bold strategy to play the entire game in the Wild Cat while utilizing a lot of HB passes. It didn't seem to go very well and I was surprised when Alabama did the same thing later in the day.

As much as I hate to say it, Sam Pittman. We start a guy who likely belongs in the student section over a poor man's Lamar Jackson in Malik Hornsby.

Brian Kelley and it isn't really close imo.

Why Jimbo didn't roll the QB out to the left to give them options of running it in if no one was open, I'll never know?

The qb looked to be gimpy. Not sure how bad his leg was hurt so who knows.

This must be a really coveted award, so many are trying hard to win it. I really think Jimbo Fisher deserves it over all the others. Where to start? From the awkward handshake to the end of the game, it was like his mind wasn’t there. Was he thinking of Margaritas on a beach and counting his buyout?

No idea how this award doesn't go to Jeff Lebby after this weekend. Once it was 14-0, Oklahoma played not to be blown out and they were still blown out.

I'd volunteer head coach Brent Venables, but I just think he's way over his head at his current position. It is his first year and they just don't have the horses, though.

Defense wasn't playing well.
UGA had just marched down the field and had the drive stall on a very questionable block below the waist call (hit the defender in the shoulder pads, but the defender was trying to stay low).

Harsin knew he needed to take chances to win the game. I would say that it was poor timing for the call... but Auburn didn't March their offense across the 50 yard line until about 5 minutes left in the first half.

Our coaching staff trying to be all cloak and dagger about our QB situation then running wildcat the whole fricking time. Beville shouldnt even see the field again in mop up time as we are getting the shite beat out of us.

If you looked up bad coaching in an encyclopedia, they'd have is picture right there. At the bottom the article would be an asterisk with the note: "See also: Pete Golding"

You overlooked Mark Stoops. Starting QB out. Backup has taken 4 snaps. So, to make it easy on the QB, KY runs some kind of slow developing double reverse flea flicker trickeration (we don’t know exactly what it was because the play wasn’t completed). USC defense blows it up and recovers fumble at the two yard line.

There was more bad coaching but Kentucky never recovered from that early turnover.

Harsin/ Auburn wasn't beating Georgia. LSU/ Kelly wasn't beating Tennessee.

So it has to be Saban or Jimbo. Saban's weak link is the OC. I'd have to say Jimbo takes the award. Being an offensive minded coach and labeled a QB guru...that was the best play he could come up with? A rushed throw to one receiver without making any reads. And the Bama DB said Jimbo tipped the play by screaming the WR's name over and over before the play. I'm convinced he DGAF and is just letting the money stack up before riding off into the sunset.
