Normally I'm not on to trash on players. I still hold the coaches accountable even if the players underperform.

There are a few things I see from players that is disappointing.

Hall - He shows effort, has skill, but uses poor technique, and doesn't have more then speed rush. He does well on backside pursuit and down field.

Jayson Jones - please for the love of God stop turning backwards when double teamed. Plant your feet and hips and hold your spot. Even if in the end you end up on your back stand your spot as long as you can hold up.

Harris - Big motor, big effort but a hair undersized. Yes you are using good tech getting low but you are to low I think I noticed 2-3 times you were low and just got pushed to the ground on your stomach

Wooden - Undersized but huge heart, great technique, slides through blocks, doesn't have great get off to get sacks but is pure hustle and makes multiple tackles down field.

Owen - It's time for the bench. Period

Steiner - Not good but at least will hit someone in the mouth. Misses to many tackles. Getting better on gap assignment. Had a decent game against UGA. Isn't good a shedding blocks quickly and will chase down plays from behind.

Riley - Haven't really even noticed since Mercer.

DB's - Outside of Puckett needing to possibly lose a few pounds or be less required make up for our failure at linebacker I think he could be better. I've been satisfied in general with the DBs overall including Puckett. Still need to get some young safeties in to gain more experience.

OL - OMG don't even know where to start. No sense in even singling out anyone 1 thru the 3 deep are just bad. And I think we have some talented guys. Just no confidence and look very confused and unsure of what to do. Zone scheme should help if we aren't "strong" enough as was implied under Gus but I think in the inside gap scheme we were much better.

RB - Tank can't block on 3rd down and can't catch a cold. Hunter is a very solid number 2 and even though I think he's a great 8-12 touches back I don't see him as an 18-24 carry type back. The young guys aren't seeing enough field time. I understand if they are trying to redshirt.

WR - Var is the only guy that can consistently get open. I think we have some talented guys but have to continue to improve run better routes, make contested catches. Fight to become better blockers on the outside.

TE - most overrated group on the team. Sure no defense cares if Skenker catches a 3 yard pass on 3 and 11. I think he's a great teammate but for whatever reason I would like to move on to Deal and Fromm give them more time on the field.

QB - Terrible. Just terrible in every situation. Turnovers galore. horrible situation for Robby because he has no deep ball threat so any passing situation they bring 5 and he has no time. Great athlete. TJ throws a beautiful ball about 10-12 yards when he knows where he's going with it. Outside of that it's all bad.

Coaching - total failure. appears bad game prep, no adjustments, no development, seems to continue to think it's just a matter of clicking and not making mistakes when it's continued for 12 games or so. Worst recruiting head coach i could imagine at AU. Literally I think not having a head coach we could recruit better. Potato boy has the personality of a potato.

If I can see these things why can't the massive staff and analysts. If you truly are a hard arse demand more, expect more, and get more out of you players.

Harsin probably means all that but doesn't implement it. What hours do you think he really works? 10 am - 4:30?

The inability to make adjustments is one of the factors that is really impacting game day performance.

I've heard of coaches having the first 10 plays scripted. I think our coaches script the first 100, in case we go to overtime

I like Hunter and he's been great at what he's been able to do. Just don't think he's a workhorse type back. Nothing wrong with that.

Yeah, I'm not going to fault any of those kids. No telling what practice & the locker room are like. The fact they're still willing to put on a helmet and play makes them ok with me.

they can see it just cant fix it. A lot of our issues is coaching but Auburn is also in a talent defecit. On3 had a interview with Drew Fabianich and he said the 1st thing he did before even getting moved here was scouting the entire current team. He mentioned that we were missing an entire Junior OLine class and lacking talent in a lot of areas

I NEVER bash the players and never will. They are the best we could recruit. That is on Gus and Hars. Get better players, you are who you are.

Lets get POSTIVE: These players have worked harder to make Auburn successful than most of us will ever know. They hurt when our coaches call a fake punt, or go for it on 4th down in our own territory, or not change the offense to meet the talent.

This is especially true when you are having a bad season.

I think Ashford gets a rough take since he barely gets a pocket to stand in to throw downfield, but he does have a good deep ball when it is thrown. On that same note though he should trust the OL to build a pocket--I know hard to do. That may be a part of why they are just letting defenders slip by though, if they know he's just going to run every time why block?

I seem to like this dude early on. His interview he did was pretty good. Seems a hair arrogant which if he provides great results I'm good with it, if not it's not a good look.

Yes It doesn't take an NFL scout to know there was a hole in depth in the Junior class. But what about this Senior class, everything was good to come up in a pro set and think we were going to be run first play action team? Even if we want to blame Gus for the OL he would at least get a 1 or 2 year couple bandaid players each cycle from Juco to provide some depth.

I agree with everything, but the OL. Ashford rarely has a pocket. We've seen 3-man pushes defeat our OL all year long. We have extremely bad coaching and the worst OL in the SEC. It's a testament to Ashford that he hasn't been sacked more.

Did you think so about Bo as well? Remember your influencers at the War Rapport basically dogged Bo season after season it was all his fault, bailing on clean pockets, not throwing the ball perfectly to the WRs so they could run after the catch, and so on an so on. What do we see Robby doing? A lot of the same with much much worse results. Bo at least had positive TD to turnover ratio. Can't say the same since he got injured.

Bro I played QB in high school. You can only take so many hits before you are gun shy and in self preservation mode. I don't care how good of QB you are you get punched in the gut 3 times you're gonna keep an eye out.

This is a weird post. Why is it necessary?

I think everyone here understands that we’re not very good. But to harp on individual players like this is just strange.

Can we stop associating good performance with caring to play?

This team isn’t deliberately quitting. They just suck.
