This is supposed to be the year for Mike Leach.
What will his final record be?

They are going to destroy Arkansas this weekend. Can they split the Ole Miss game and Kentucky game? Will their Air Raid Offense pull an upset against Georgia or Alabama?

It seems 7-5 is the floor. 9-3 the obvious ceiling.
I'm pretty high on this team. It will be interesting to see them play Georgia.
I'll say 8-4. If they pull off a top 5 upset, 9-3.
I see them dropping the game to Ole Miss.

The loss to y’all still stings. I think we have a pretty good team this year, but with our schedule I see us finishing
7-5. Would be tickled to death at 8-4

It's Leach. He will drop one or two he shouldn't and win one or two he shouldn't. I wouldn't be so sure about him beating Ark this weekend. Not because Arkansas is good but because this is the exact kind of game that he would drop.

Weird stuff ahead.

We’ll win at least 1 of: @UK, @Bama, UGA, @OM

We’ll probably lose to a KJ-less Arky at home.

Nobody truly knows

This is the year. The bulldogs have improved so much under this new offense. They’re focused. They’re having fun. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re dark horses for the CFP

Imagine 9-3 being the ceiling for your team’s “year”

This is the year that the defense he inherited are all in their last year. The defense will drastically drop off next year.

So yeah this is their chance.

My opinion since the off-season has been that State has a 9 or 10 win caliber team with a 7 or 8 win schedule.

In 2022, it would be hard to find a tougher road schedule than at LSU, at Bama, at Kentucky, and at Ole Miss. And then Georgia is one of your home games.

I really like this team but I have a difficult time picking them to go 9-3. Don’t think you can rule out 7-5. 8-4 would be my best guess, I think they lose to Bama and Georgia and split Ole Miss and Kentucky. I expect to beat Auburn at home and this Saturday against Arkansas truthfully needs to be a win as well, especially if Jefferson is out.

Most reasonable State fans said this year looked like a 7-5 to 9-3 season - the schedule was just too tough to manage a 10-win regular season with Alabama, then drawing Georgia and Kentucky from the East. The media picked them next to last or last like they always do.

I think we will destroy Arkansas this week. (5-1)
at Kentucky is winnable. (6-1)

We lose in Tuscaloosa, then beat Auburn and East Tennessee. (8-2)

A New Years 6 bowl game (probably Orange) comes dow to whether we can split Georgia and Ole Miss. You lose both of them and its a good 8-4 season that ends in a decent bowl - far from the 1-7 SEC predictions.

Offense should be fine next year, defense will take a step back but so will the schedule. Trade Georgia for South Carolina and nothing spectacular on the non-conference.

State's winning the West this year. Pretty obvious to anyone who has watched the games.

Alabama: Bryce Young injury - done
LSU: They can't have many miraculous comebacks left in them - done
Ole Miss: Had to have many miracles to beat Kentucky, plus they had to bounty gate Tulsa's QB to win that one - done
Texas A&M: lol
Auburn: lol
Arkansas: lol

Unfortunately for miss state, this is their very experienced team. Next year they lose a ton of their defensive talent next year. Sucks the year they are good they play Georgia.

If it’s not 8-9 wins then people will start running their mouth about it. Probably the usual talking heads.

But we have one of the most difficult schedules in FBS. Hell… if not THE most difficult when it shakes out.

If we win 9 games this year, Mike Leach could shite on the hood of my car and I wouldn’t care. The road to get there would have some pretty big highs along the way.

6-6 (2-6)

This was my prediction prior to week 1. It’s still intact fwiw. Tempted to change my Arkansas and Kentucky picks for this game, one due to KJ’s health and Arkansas defensive inability to get off the field as of late.. and two, seeing that Levis isn’t this world beater that ESPN continues to harp on about.

We will win at least 4 games this year. That's about all I can say.

I said before the season that Miss. State and Tennessee worried me more than anybody. I am gaining confidence against Tennessee with their secondary/defense problems, but Miss. State still worries me.
