The grey was not in football til Jones but has been in baseball and basketball for a while.

Not the same grey in baseball now, the grey standard road uniforms everyone wears. And I don’t ever recall seeing a grey basketball uniform prior

No they weren't.

Of course baseball teams wear road grey's, but were talking about this dark smoke grey.

When college sports went crazy for black uniforms the Vols had Smokey grey. The lady Vols wanted a more blue 3rd option under Pat Summit

So Butch Jones and forward, like I said. Not sure what exactly you’re arguing. The football team wore those before basketball and baseball. Butch Jones started Smokey grey uniforms at Tennessee. That’s just an objective fact

All those pictures are from Butch Jones to the present

think we can both agree anything but the Orange and Crimson on the field in the TSIO should be met with a swift and serious decapitation.

I wish Bama would agree to wear crimson when UT is in orange.

I know the players like this stuff, but nothing in my mind will ever beat the solid orange and/or mixed orange jerseys with white pants with vintage big style white font on the letters/numbers. I like the stormtrooper jerseys as well. I really hope we don't use these smokey greys.

That’s progress I guess. Moved no the don’t, it’s different in baseball, never seen basketball wear them to they do but it’s new. Feel free to dig through the archives to show football was the last to get them.

You're wrong. They definitely never wore that shade of grey until the Jones era, in any sport. It's not standard like you claim.

They weren’t. Baseball didn’t start wearing them until UT moved to Nike. Basketball has worn them one game total, also after the Nike switch. Football brought them out first with adidas

I’m kind of shocked at how little you know about your own program

I suddenly feel better about this game.

Those things are hideous and gimmicky. The classic orange white is much more imposing.

I like alternates on occasion, but only if both teams are doing it. Not when lsu is wearing classics

Imagine replacing one of the most iconic uniforms in college football with that garbage. WTF are y'all thinking?

That’s how you know when a team loses blue blood status. Gimmicky uniforms.

Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, etc don’t do that shite

You might be able to explain to the vol fans what happens when you show up at Death Valley with a lot of cockiness and arrogance.
