McLaughlin had important blocks that cleared the openings for the three big runs against Arkansas. McLaughlin executed a tremendous seal block on Arkansas' standout linebacker to open the space for Jahmyr Gibbs' first touchdown run for 72 yards. Later, on the 77-yard touchdown, he did the same thing for Gibbs.

Great job Seth! Snaps seemed a bit off, but that can be corrected.

Somehow Dalcourt will be SEC lineman of the week.

Seth is undersized but he makes the whole OL function so much better. No brainer, this man should be the starter moving forward!

The coaches picked Seth as a player of the week, so that's a good sign.

Seth McLaughlin

-Got the spot start at center in Fayetteville
-Did not allow a sack, quarterback pressure or quarterback hit
-Totaled three knockdown blocks, including a huge one that opened a hole for Gibbs’ 72-yard score

He has too at this point, film alone should slap the coaches in the face.

Agree Boz, but I would have thought after SM playing better than DD when he got hurt last year would have convinced them and it did not. Surely they get it now.

Why do yall insist on instigating this tribalism over 2 players on the same team

Dalcourt has already been dragged over his play, even in a thread about him being a semifinalist for an award for mainly academics and community service.

Seths inconsistent snapping the ball is what has kept him off the field. This has been a problem for two seasons now. You’d think he’d have figured that part out by now BUT the OL as a whole seems to perform better with him.

not sure about snapping issues that you and others have mentioned. Can you elaborate what I am missing?

Surely you saw the snaps being way off during the game this past Saturday. There were multiple snaps with both QBs that were wildly inconsistent. It seems that is what is keeping him from being the full time starter.

being way off

I didnt see any that were "way off". Bryce or Jalen never had one they had to jump for or were below the knees. Right or left sure but that is a helluva lot better than the center or nose guard being in the QBs lap 3x per game.
