Biggest one is that our WRs are decent athletes but wow do they all suck at route running. I can live with the drops but the lazy routes and never attacking the ball is hard to watch.

Our defense is actually half decent 2/3rds of the time but we don’t have the athletes to recover from missed assignments or to keep up with the best WRs. As much as I hate to say it, I think we need to play more “bend but don’t break.” If you can’t get pressure occasionally with your front 4 alone, then you’re a ticking time bomb playing this much one on one coverage

We need a generational talent type QB to beat Bama in their current status. Can Malik be the guy to take the next step? I have my doubts. Guess he’s hurt? Maybe singleton can be that guy eventually

They probably gained 80% of their yardage on like 5 plays

I mean a defense that sucks 1/3rd of the time still sucks but I’m just saying

We’re untalented. Until we get legit talent, either on the line at qb or on dline, we’ll never compete with bama. Odom and briles both looked lost didn’t know how to attack or take away anything bama did

look at the score... With Young out and their passing being almost nonexistent... still look at the score.

Our D was absolutely atrocious period.

Now, what about their pay, expectations, recruiting, compare fairly...

Coaching gap is > than talent gap. Look at TAMU. Even with elite talent, they can't win shite.

If their QB doesn’t go down they score as many as they want

Let’s be honest. We have no plan in the secondary and our fundamentals back there are even worse than the gameplan. We gotta make changes defensively.

No. If he was generational he'd be playing

My thoughts:

Burks made KJ look a lot better than he is. The hope preseason was that Hazelwood could fill some of that void. Hasn't happened.

Like always no depth on defense. Catalon going down was a death blow to our secondary.

We're getting out of Pittman what we hoped for when we hired him. He's a high floor low ceiling coach. A mike Anderson if you will. We'll win 6-8 games most years under him. He was hired to stabilize the program. He's done that but I don't see us taking the next step.

He and Sanders were the two dudes we absolutely could not afford to lose on that side of the ball. Those two have more talent than most of the rest of the defense combined.
