Seeing how well some of the young QBs are doing in the NFL prompted some thought. What team had to face the most high-level quarterbacks on the way to a natty, in terms of their future NFL success?

Auburn '10 - incredibly weak opponent QBs. McElroy is tops, lol.

LSU '19 - Tua, Hurts, Lawrence (8-1 as starters), Love/Trask/Ehlinger/Mond/Corral all drafted and on rosters. Fromm drafted. Still in college: Jefferson (young when faced).

Bama '20 - Fields (starter), Trask/Mond/Book/Corral. Still in college: Bennett (young when faced).

It's crazy how much more difficult that '19 schedule was compared to the others. The Auburn schedule was comically bad with QB talent.

NOTE: Too early to analyze Georgia '21 as so many still in college.

I loved what McElroy did for us (super tough kid, won our first title in 17 years) but he couldn't possibly be the best QB Auburn faced that year could he?

Update: I had forgotten that Oregon lost their starting QB right before the game. Darron Thomas wasn't a bad QB, but not really in the same tier as those others.

Trying to remember who played for who way back in 2010 is rough.

Do you know which year in the past decade ended with the highest numeral? That's right, 2019. Strange how it just keeps coming out on top of every list!

Aaron Murray and Tyler Wilson were very good college quarterbacks

Any reason you started with 2010? Any reason you then skipped 2011, 2012, 2015, and 2017?

Just curious.

You left out a bunch of stuff. By coincidence I'm sure.

Tua- Maaaaaybe at 60 percent when he played. Was literally hopping on one leg.

Hurts- C'mon now. Everyone and I mean everyone said many times he was not a good QB. Especially in college

Lawrence-I'll give you that one. Fantastic player.

Love-61 percent passer in college. Led utah st to a meh...25-15 record. OK i guess.

Trask-Led Florida to 8-4 record. Solid the one season he started but not off the charts

Ehlinger-Meh, never a big game guy. Check out he Horns records when he was there. Mistake prone like Tua.

Mond- Seriously dude? This guy was serviceable at best.

Corral- Yea, 2019 Corral led the rebs to a 4-8 record with 6 TD passes.

Yea, they might be on rosters but they are not starters and won't be there long. Jake Fromm never was much.
With the exception of Lawrence, they never faced anybody any better than Fields was in 2020. In fact, Lawrences 2019 season was 3665 yds with a QB rating of 166.7. Fields played only 8 games and had 2200 yds and a QBR of 175.6.
As far as Tua, he was nowhere near healthy for that game.
people can deny it all they want.

LSU was the real deal in 2019. That was an amazing season.

It’s wild the amount of really good QBs that have come out of the SEC in the last few years. Alabama went from having guys like Gmac and Blake sims to having three and likely 4 NFL starters in a row. And before you start, we count Jalen and we always will. He will
Never not be a part of the tide. 19 LSU team was elite in about every way. It would be cool if we could re-write history and play some of these championship teams against each other.
