And this time it’s for real. Ian is going to mess this state up.

I would be shocked if UF didn’t cancel. Especially since EWU will be traveling across the country and will need plenty of notice of cancellation as they will be leaving Thursday. Also, Florida doesn’t like to play in the hard rain when all their police resources are helping across the state

We are in for a beating this time, that is for sure. Putting up my hurricane shutters today or tomorrow.

I have a cousin in Ocala, worried about them. I'm supposed to fly to FLL Satuday morning, but I assume all air travel from Thursday on in and out of Florida is going to get cancelled.

Ocala, just like Gainesville will probably get a lot of rain, flooding and winds … flying from the north to FLL will probably be ok on Saturday. Air traffic can use the Atlantic routes to SE Fl by then.

Play the game at your opponents stadium and move on. Finacial disaster either way but get the game in.

No way they have that game if it’s that strong at landfall. Leave if you’re in the path. I stayed for Ida last year and swore that’s the last time I stay for a hurricane.

We have insurance to cover cancellations. We don't have insurance for a last minute trip cross-country to Washington

You're insinuating that UF is scared to play a tune up game against an FCS school that lost to Oregon by 8 TDs?

You make a committment, stick with it. Lsu has travelled to teams stadiums due to hurricanes you can too.

Dont be a millennial pussy, play the game as scheduled. Likely better for the team anyway to stay focused on football.

I know this is somewhat in jest, but stay safe out there everyone. I’m sick of hurricanes but unfortunately it’s reality in our part of the world. Hopefully everyone is prepared and has a means to evacuate if need be.

Our flight is Saturday morning early. Not sure if that matters.

That depends, how many players you got injured and what is the likelihood you would lose if you still played?

it'd be cool if we could reschedule for thursday. i wonder if that'd be enough time to get SEC network out there.

we need this game if we want to be bowl eligible.

Irma was the last straw for me in Gainesville, moved to Missouri so I wouldn’t have to deal with the stress of a hurricane ever again.
