Saban on freshman Tyler Booker, who played at LG and RG with the ones today: "I've got lots of confidence in him. He's a young player who has played extremely well. I view him as a guy who's competing for a starting position with the other two guys."

The young guys need to step up on this team. We've got a lot of young talent.

Cohen must really be struggling. They keep looking for someone to replace him. Excited for Booker though…may be out next great guard.

Booker is the guy. He’s just a bigger stronger kid compared to the other two. No next gen stats needed.

I heard this on the radio today from an insider that's been correct on a lot of things re: Cohen.

"It's probably going to come [Booker's starting spot] at left if some things don't change. And some of the things that need to change, I don't know if they can change at that position. And I'm going to leave it at that. It's some personal stuff and doesn't need to be aired."

Whatever is going on I hope Cohen gets through it and puts it all together eventually. But in the mean time I'm excited to see Booker, thought he looked great.

Lol so now we have talent?

Odd considering how some on here try to convince us we don't and it's all the players fault and never on rhe coordinator (See BOB)

Of course we have talent.

Its been explained to you 100 times we're down at OL and WR. This is why you are seeing all the shuffling around this late into the season. Staff is looking for answers.

Youre the dumbest cuck on this board.

*edit shaft williams may have moved into your 1st place dumbshit of the board spot this week, but its a tight race.

We aren't down. We have plenty talent which hasn't been coached well or developed right.

Players don't develop themselves.

I'm not the one defending BOB and not understanding the role coaching plays in developing and utilizing talent... so that's all you tough guy

The OL stuff makes sense that we are still figuring out guys and who we like/don't like. We have a brand new coach there who is a developmental guy and is probably still finalizing his assessment of experienced guys and weighing that vs new guys and their potential.

Booker is a prime example of this. So was the Randolph thing. I think there is pretty decent growth potential on the OL the rest of the year.

WR should be the same but I'm not entirely sold on Wiggins development. Especially combined with BoB.

This I agree. Homer almost left last year. Gotta think with BOB gone next year.. new OC is gonna want a better WR

I think the OL is going to be fine. Got a proven coach at that position. Interested to see what happens when JoJo and that other receiver get back

Saban brought him up again today.

Saban on Tyler Booker: "He's doing a good job for us. He's improving every game, every week, every practice. Makes really good choices and decisions about how he goes about his work."

its pretty obvious there was a problem in the O line last year and so far still has been. Averaged 3 sacks a game last year. The OC isnt responsible for the back up receivers that dropped passes in the NC game, or the tight end that looked liked he was intentionally trying to throw the game.
Why is everything always on the OC?

The issue with our OC is his lack of creativity. The game is about scoring points and he lacks an innovative mind to do so. College football is about matchups, remember how Sark would scheme and have all kinds of pre snap motion to confuse the defense. That would allow our qb and receivers to know if the D was in man or zone coverage. Therefore Mac and Tua had an idea of where the ball was going before it was snapped. Sark knew how to get our best player on the opponents worst player. The offensive line has played fairly decent in the passing game this year but gets scrutinized because of our OC's lame route trees.

Why are we talking about OC on a thread that's supposed to be about Booker?
