He’s not a sympathetic figure in the least. That article is as close to what might be sincere contrition about what went down as I’ve seen from him though. But everything ultimately is all about Bobby. Always has been, always will be. He’s a narcissistic, “me first” a-hole. He hates UK. This is not a secret. Not just typical rival stuff, he’s made it clear to many people how much disdain he has for the university. As soon as he needed another P5 gig, who did he call? Worthless, opportunistic turd.

The icing on the cake was the victory lap after the crash.

Wonder if one of the Hog fans can corroborate the rumor I heard that Bobby Petrino was banging that volleyball chick who was engaged to the assistant strength coach, who found out and went into Petrino‘s office and kicked the shite out of him. The whole “wreck” was a cover up to explain his banged up face.

It is hard to know what it is fact or fiction with the story. My theory is the future husband found out about the cheating. He probably chased Petrino with the Vollyball chick in the vehicle. Somehow they probably stopped, he got out of the vehicle and beat the shite out of Petrino. He probably blackmailed and told him to not say a word to anyone. So he dumped her off with Bobby and she had no injuries.
They called the police and both of them were present at the scene but Petrino lied to the school saying he was by himself. The police report said a woman was with him.
His bike was damaged though but Petrino said the sun got into his eyes with a help of a gust of wind which supposedly pushed him over a curve in a road. That doesn't explain why his mistress had very little injuries or none at all.
So either he was confronted and beat up while this individual was running over his bike or Petrino was chased on his bike around a curve and flipped him over with his mistress in the vehicle chasing him.
