It looks like UK once again has solid special teams and a tough hard-nosed defense with good speed.
I think their front 7 actually poses a significant step up in competition for Florida than Utah's, especially at the LB position. If UF can't run against that front 7 it'll put a lot of pressure on AR against a decent secondary, but maybe a step down from Utah's, although it is definitely faster. AR is probably going to have to throw a bit more against UK for UF to win.
Uk has some speedy skill players on offense. UF will have to tackle well in space. If UK can run the ball it'll be a long day. If UF can control that, it'll come down to who tackles better in space, and avoiding big mistakes, especially on special teams, where UK seems deadly this year.
Looking at UK, with Stoops as head coach they have traditionally had a very tough run defense. Even in their losses last year they only gave up about 130 yards rushing per game. The difference in their losses was the passing game. In their 3 losses last year they gave up over 300 yards per game passing, while in their wins they only gave up 193. That's a huge difference. That leads me to believe that AR will definitely need to win the game more with his arm than his legs this week. Can he do it?
I'm going to say yes. UF 35, UK 24 in what should be a very competitive game.

If they cant slow down our run game it will be a long night for them. Have to tackle better or smoke can get some big yards on our defense. Semi worried on pass defense but not as much as our run defense.
31-20 GOOD GUYS!

I'm a bit concerned about our run defense, even with the cats being down a few RBs. The D-line didn't really impress me in the second half against the Utes.
I'm interested to see what Napier comes up with for AR if the traditional run game does sluggish.
I think it'll be a battle, but we come out on top 31-21.

Watched UK game, they are not as good as Utah but that doesn’t mean don’t need to bring the A game to win. Their run game is weak but QB can throw and they have good receivers. Don’t kick it to #9. Miami O moved the ball on them most of the game. Gators just can’t turn it over or have a bunch of penalties that end drives. Homer prediction Gators 31-13.

I’ve watched the Kentucky/Miami (OH) game from last week, and I see nothing that is overly concerning to me about UK.
They are going to be the typical UK team we play every year. Decently coached by Stoops, decent talent, and they’ll be up for the game and will probably keep it close as usual.
What did stand out in their game last week is that they only had 50 total rushing yards on 26 attempts and their O-Line gave up 4 sacks. Will Levis had an average game, and seemed to lack touch on some key throws.
Without Miami giving them a KR TD and fumbling a ball right into the arms of a DB for them to take back down the field, they probably only win 26-13. Their offense was nothing special.
All that said, if we don’t prepare well and execute on Saturday, we could lose. But somehow, I don’t see Billy crapping the bed like Mullen did. We should beat them by a TD if not more. Another sellout crowd in The Swamp should help too.

I guess this is our bulletin board material for this week…
JJ Weaver
Because it turned out so well for him when he called out Kyle Pitts in 2020, then gave up 5 catches for 99yds and 3TDs in their 34-10 loss.
And then there’s this, which I’m not even sure what to do with. This has to be one of the most Kentucky things I’ve ever seen:
Mayo Creamer

I think we flex on their OL that struggled vs MOH

UK fans seemed pretty displeased with their week 1 performance. I think AR continues to shine and Gators win by 2 TDs.

This is the same stuff every year with Kentucky.
We played well they struggled with the team they played will beat them by 2 TD's. Then Kentucky plays it close then wins the game. I'm not sleeping on Kentucky. I feel much better about the game being it's in a sold out Swamp. But this will be a very close game in the Fourth Quarter. I think the Gators win 27-23

I have a hard time seeing this KY team driving the ball 70+ yards for a TD on us but their special teams did it all that 1st week and we better be on guard. On defense they look like they have a good group of LBs again.

Inject it in my veins.
Our social media team is killing it right now.

the resolution tells me it might get played in the south endzone jumbotron.

What I like coming into this game:
- Dan Mullen is not our coach
- Being played in the Swamp
- Lost last year (Revenge factor plus likely that players won't overlook)
- CRod is out
- Kentucky's OL looked suspect against Miami (Oh)
What I don't like:
- KY looked bad against Chattanooga and SCar last year, but showed up against UF
- UF Defense still looks shaky. Levis is solid, and those speedy WR's they could be tested
- Possible rat poison with all the media praise from the big win over Utah last week
This game has a bit of a feel of Ole Miss 2015 or even the Mutts after they beat Notre Dame in 2017 to me (in both cases, both teams edged out a tight win at home and then came out sharp). If so, we come out sharp and win 37-10.

If we could catch the damn ball we’d be up by double digits right now…

I hope Will Levis has a killer life insurance policy.

AR throwing alot of high balls receivers not catching it when he does hit them. This is going to be a very tough game if we could cover a tight end Kentucky night not have 1 first down.
Eventually Kentucky will make a drive have to start moving the ball

Offense is all out of sorts. Really hoping everything gets cleaned up real quick.
