Texas will be to the SEC what Nebraska has been to the B1G, a walking disaster.

Doesn't matter. After Saturday we'll own your little stadium. When we come back I guarantee our band comes with us and sits close enough to the field that you won't be able to ignore them.

Ok, keep us posted. I guarantee you I won't give a shite where our band sits in Bryant-Denny. Hell, don't even let them come at all

You act like the rest of the SEC wouldn't be doing the exact same thing if they weren't forced to give lower bowl seats via league rules.

Pretty retarded take. The state of Nebraska doesn't even produce a 4 star some years They died because they were pretty much cut off from the state of Texas.

Does not surprise me that you wouldn't care. Its funny the different trajectories our programs have taken since 2009. Maybe one day someone will care about Texas football again.

This makes no sense. The schools of the SEC created the rule.

The very fact that a rule had to be created indicates that enough schools were doing otherwise that something had to be done about visitor seating.

This. Delicate little pansies.

It's your football program showing fear. They're so afraid of the arse whipping they're gonna get that they're keeping a band from making scary noises.

That's not grasping at straws. Nobody is going to make a league wide rule about something like that unless enough schools complain they are being screwed on tickets and get the rule put on the books.

We’ve done it for years. To all opponents. We just aren’t used to fan bases being such pussies about it.

No, it says that we established equal standards across the league. Standardization of something is not necessarily birthed due to someone's poor behavior. Sometimes you just have lots of confusion and difference and want everyone to have the same guidelines to work from.

I'm pretty sure it came because of all the changes in the 90s - new schools in league (Arkansas/Carolina), schools moving on from playing big games at neutral sites (Birmingham, Jackson), etc.

The league did a whole lot of standardization stuff during that time.

Equal standards were demanded by members b/c some members did not like the amount of and/or location of the tickets they were getting. Again, if everyone was so nice and friendly about it a rule never would have been needed. You are being super naive.

Oh don't even start that shite. That's ALL I've heard about the past year...

But but but if Jameson Williams wasn't hurt we would've beat Georgia's arse.

You are being super arrogant about things you have no actual knowledge of.

Nice and friendly? What are you talking about? The SEC became what they became because of things like everyone coming together to agree on structures for the league like this and 100 other seemingly small and boring things, not just leave them open to interpretation and every school have some slightly different policy.

It's a billion dollar enterprise not some backyard kids club.

Sorry but a rule like that isn't made unless there are school that demand they get a certain location and a certain amount of tickets. It's not arrogance. It's common sense.

Sorry rules like that are made all of the time when an organization has no central policy on something and decides to streamline and standardize their policies and procedures. Especially when new members, offices, organizations are added to an already existing group.

The SEC has rules on student sections not being behind benches. That didn't come about because of some incident or a few bad actors, it was agreed upon by the league because it just seemed like a smart, proactive thing to do.

That's common sense.

Texas sucks arse. Biggest mistake ever was to let those pricks in the SEC

How bout Arkansas leaves and let’s in someone else to cash in on the new checks all members will get thanks to Texas joining?

It’s amazing that people do not understand the money aspect here.
