First of all, all you REC guys make sure you put this game during deer season when they join the SEC. The rumors are true, giant deer all over no where to hide, and they are stupid. The turkey are like giant road runners that actually come when u call them, even better hunting so set those baseball games up in Turkey season. Do you own research on exotics. But if you see one u can shot them anytime.

Lake Travis is freaking beautiful, deep clear water lake that is worth seeing about 30 minutes outside of Austin, pontoon boat rentals are available, etc. It is also one of the few places in the world you can catch Guadalupe Bass, which basically look like a hybrid small mouth, but fun to catch, knock that off your bucket list. Half a day is fine.

So what can your wife do while you are fishing? there are outlet malls at San Marcos and Round Rock, so she can spend your money and make you pay. (The big money outlets are at San Marcos)

If you have never been to the Alamo or river walk it’s close enough to detour on way home, or Waco if she wants to see those guys.

There is a fish bowl in Round Rock attached to the Bass Pro which is a funky bowling ally.

Also the Texas Museum right by the Otis has been on my list forever.

I forget the game is so early they got the whole day left activities. Except true hardcore Bama fans will bar hop for spots to catch the rest of Saturday’s line up games

I've no respect for Tx trophy hunters.

Find the 8 trees on your 250 acre lot and shoot a turkey.

Use a 25 ft tri-stand cut directional shooting lanes near a river (a creek in any other state) and put out feeders.

Trophy hunting at its best.

This is another thread in what has been a series of some of the weirdest this site has seen in a while.

Pies? Bats? Do you have some sort of financial interest in the Travis county chamber of commerce?

If you're staying downtown be sure and always hang out west of Congress. Anything east of congress is full of homeless stinky people.

Stay away from 6th street...that place is trash.

2nd street west of congress is pretty clean. Also, south congress across the river has some decent food.

Someone already mentioned Fredericksburg. It's a neat little town founded by Nimitz I believe. The drive will take you thru hill/wine country.

If your under 35 I’d recommend going to Buffords. Huge Alabama bar in the heart of west 6th. Will probably have a better atmosphere than DKR.
