I just hope we get a Homerun hitter at RB. We got 2 of them but Saban decided to play Jase and Roydell all year instead

The A&M player I want I Falil Diggs. Has he committed anywhere yet? He was a nightmare against us for two years.

I'm not sure I follow your logic. You said we have two of them, but Saban decided to play others instead. So you want another one because... that will make Saban play them?

Which is probably a good indicator that the two youngsters were still learning/developing their pass pro

Our RBs are also tasked with blocking in the passing game. If you are t capable, your PT is limited

I think this is exactly what happened. Justice Haynes was getting more carries earlier in season and whiffed on some blocks, and his number of plays got limited. Jam Miller made a couple of key blocks. I don’t remember the game, but I noticed the blocks and next Game he was first running back in after Jase and Roydell. Looking at his carries, you can see they doubled on a per game basis starting with Arkansas.

Haynes looks like he may be the better pure runner, but until he gets blocking down, carries will be limited.

I’m pretty sure Stewart has some interest in Bama.

I tried to tell y’all that UF was pushing for Baugh haha! I would be happy just landing Riley and keeping the young guns we have at RB.

Also, I want the USC CB, and I hear he has interest in Bama and UM

I feel like we are in pretty good shape at CB with who we have and who is coming in.

I'm sure Saban knows how to navigate these waters, but I would hate to lose young players who could turn elite because they see their chance to play going to transfers for the sake of a 1 year rental who might never acclimate to our type of defense.

I’m pretty sure that CB was a true freshman last year.

Domani Jackson is from the 2022 class. He should be a junior this year. If that is who you are taking about.

Damn, has it been that long? I would have bet $100 on that.

Apparently Domani is more suited for Safety or Nickel than CB.

Could be a nice replacement for Moore…

I think Bama will probably end up with a portal CB, just to add competition. Presumably you’ll have Amos on one side. The other side is up for grabs. We have tons of young talent, but do you gamble on them panning out, or bring in a portal player to push competition? I completely agree with what was said though - it’s dangerous for Bama to take too many portal guys because then young recruits see that you aren’t committed to them / their development. It’ll be interesting balancing that. It’s not a problem for a team like Ole Miss because they don’t recruit at an elite level out of high school.

He just withdrew from the portal.

If I remember right. Jackson was a heavy lean to us, then Riley got him to go to USC at the last minute. There is already a familiarity with him so it wouldn't surprise me if he comes here.

I didn't mean earlier I'm against transfers, I just wouldn't want us to do what Ole Miss is doing. We took LT, just feel that if we take another DL it would send a bad message to the rest of the team.

It was said early in the season that we would probably be using the transfer portal this year for several positions, so I expect us to get some.

Do we actually want any defensive players from USC? They made LSU look like the 85 Bears this season.
