On3 rates far fewer players as 5 star compared to other sources, but he’s the 2nd ranked qb and 14th ranked player overall at On3.

That's consensus. Which credit to them, they'll show you exactly what everybody has him as. But they've got him as #46 overall and the #4 QB. Not a bad rating. But for now, until the infamous rivals' Bama drop, they've got him at #5 overall.

ON3 2024 Five star ratings are not finalized, they are just preliminary. Hence they have only 10 so far, they will eventually have 32.

It is mindnumbing we benched his 1st round talent of an older brother after he trusted us to transfer from LSU.

I don't want to hear about Terrion knowing the plays. We basically stay in man most of the game.

I'm just as mad as everyone else about the loss to Tennessee, but the silver lining is we made the switch before we were out of playoff contention.

We win out and the loss to the Vols will be a distant bad memory.

Lol, I thought they were too. Just assumed Saint was more informed. And he probably is.

But ESPN put this out

quote:

This story has been updated to reflect that Ricks is not related to Alabama junior cornerback Eli Ricks.

So who knows.

On3 is also reporting they are not related.

Looked it up. Eli Ricks mother's name is Shauna. Desmond Ricks mother's name is Eboni.

This was from 2 days ago from his father.

“Everything feels right about LSU,” Ricks father Vernon told 247Sports. “We just like the culture there. Everyone is about LSU

Chicken little complaint?

Multiple outlets said they were related and if your feeble mind can't grasp the fact we risked our season playing a far inferior player without a reason.. then I am wasting time even acknowledging you with a response.

Which is understandable because both played at IMG.

Eli is from California and Desmond is from Virginia.

That's just lazy reporting.

We're all on the same side here. Arnold looked like an absolute stud before the Tennessee game.

That's not debatable.

Ricks looked like an absolute stud against Mississippi State.

That is also not debatable.

The good thing for us moving forward is we have two guys capable of playing outstanding defense on the roster competing for one spot. If one goes down the hope is the other can step up and we won't suffer for it.

Did he look bad against Tennessee? I thought it was Hellams who got torched against Tennessee. Maybe with Ricks at corner Arnold can move back to his natural position at safety.

He had some amazing plays but he also was the main CB getting beaten.

I think he will develop into a lock down 1st round guy but he isn't that right now. I get that Saban put him out there for him to develop into that... however that doesn't make sense when we have one of those sitting on the bench.

I just saw Georgia pulled a top player in 2024 out of Alabama. Was he wanted by Bama?
