Just in general it appears a lot of people hate Tim Jackson but don’t know why.

I should have included in my previous post that Hoke also said Roberts wouldn’t be strong armed into anyone and that he thinks he will go after the guy he thinks is best for the job. I was just having a hard time getting past anything other there possibly being a scenario that Steele is HC

I believe Steele would’ve been a solid one year bridge just like Matt Luke at Ole Miss but any reports of Steele today read like fear mongering. He’s not getting any younger, he has been out of a job, and hasn’t been a HC in decades. Why the PTB woukd be favoring him makes zero sense.

Jackson is a miserable human being and this is from about a half a dozen interactions with him as a student in the late 90's. Thinks highly of himself and doesn't wield power very well. Everyone remembers the Muschamp ticket fiasco, where Muschamp had to be restrained? I'm not huge fan of Muschamp but he was correct. All he wanted were some additional tickets, but Tim Jackson didn't like him and made it a huge pain in the arse. Most Tim Jackson stories I know are of this variety... using whatever power he has against someone. Never positive.
Chizik and Malzahn liked him, so I think he has some legitimate sway with influential people involved in the football program, but its more of an informant (tattle tale) role. A bonafide weasel.
Tim Jackson was a Dye hire originally. He started out as a coach under Fuqua(?) the S&C coach. Players didn't like him. Moved to the ticket office, fell upwards, knew the right people. Jacobs hired him in '04(?) in the AD. He's been a barnacle ever since.
(edit) If Roberts is as great as purported with running AU engineering - and now the university - he'll not consider Jackson seriously. He's not a bright guy. Find one of Jackson's rare interviews on YouTube

Never heard of this. Was that during his 2015 stint, 06-07, or his GA days?
