And guess what? He is about to be much better.
Tennessee QB coach Joey Halzle recently said:
"Being able to play games with the defense of knowing where he wants to go with the ball. Knowing what the defensive structure is, what their rules are, how to manipulate that, how to play the game with the other side of the ball and get the results that he wants. So he’s made a huge jump in the offseason of defensive understanding and it’s really showing on the field right now.”
I watch ALL the Tennessee practice interviews and listen to each player. It is very clear from listening to all the offensive players and staff that Hendon Hooker is a VERY special young leader, not just a great football talent.
We haven't had his level of commitment and leadership during an off-season supposedly since the great Peyton freakin Manning.
And returning 4 out of 5 OL starters, leading WR and a loaded stable of backs.
Alabama is the ONLY SEC team who might put out an offense as good as Tennessee next year but the Vols will be tougher to stop simply because how fast we run.
I bet every team we play does the fake injury routine on defense ala Ole Piss style this year.

Seriously, LSU picked the wrong year to play us. The stars have literally aligned for us this year it seems.

The eternal hope that Tennessee fans have every August is an inspiration and makes me realize that there IS hope for a better tomorrow

A good offense and a swiss cheese defense. Ask Ole Miss or Oklahoma how far that gets you.

Did you see the Tennessee Ole Miss game last year?
Do you know why vol fans were so upset with the mustard drama and stuff after the Ole Miss game last year besides hating Kiffin?
Ole Piss faked more injuries that game to rest their defense and slow us down than any other team has done that i have ever seen in my life.

We have gotten in some nice portal pickups in key spots and recruited in much needed areas. Defense is always a mess in year one especially when a lot of the previous year starters leave. We will be much improved on that side of the ball. Far from elite, but much improved. Especially our pass rush and third down defense.

Sidewalk gump fan detected. It was his first year in a new offense and didn't even play the entire year.

This isn't hope you wife beating sister freakin trailer park gump.
It's confidence and even downright arrogance. The CFB world has no idea how dominant we are going to look on offense this year. See 2018 LSU to the 2019 version. I am lurking and laughing at all of our future opponents this season.

2022 Vols baseball shocked the college baseball world last year.
2022 football will be more so that way.
We will beat UGA this year and Bama will be a war. Bookmark this.
