Oregon players dont have a clue about what they are about to experience. They remind me of Hawaii who was undefeated and heading to the Sugar Bowl to take on Georgia years ago. It was an experience they will never forget. They learned what an SEC blue blood was capable of that night

This is stupid.

The words "Bo Nix" and "Heisman Trophy" don't belong in the same sentence.

I think Duck fans are hoping for above average.

I would have loved the match up with Cristobal still there. It's soured a bit in terms of watchability for me with Lanning taking over. I don't think it ends up all that competitive with Bo at QB and a new staff. I could be totally wrong though.

The offense under Cristobal was anemic. He had one good season on defense. Cristobal was good at talent acquisition.

I have never witnessed a more brutal 10 win season than I did with Cristobal. Neither side of the ball was consistent.

Don't expect any more than that and you'll be fine.

11-13 since Joe Burrow won a NC for you guys and your coach is gone but we aren't used to "winning anything?"

I understand that Oregon has a dangerous long snapper.

Their onside kick game is amazing.

You'll get that and possibly more. Part of Nix' problem was the Malzahn offense, and a lack of an OLine.

Nix will be fine in Oregon.

Well, the reports out of spring and summer are encouraging. It’s sounds like Ty Thompson is finally ready to make it a competition too.

You really need him to....if nothing else for a good backup. Nix seems to look very good in the spring and off season. Auburn fans could probably tell you more. There were times it seemed as if Nix was ready to turn the corner, and then boom, he would regress badly.

He seemed to be very streaky. When he was hot he looked outstanding, then all of a sudden he would go cold and it would get ugly quickly.

Oregon's presumed starting QB is former Heisman Trophy Candidate from Auburn, Bo Nix.

I completely forgot he transferred. I figured he died or settled down to raise his bastard child.

Yes, he looks great in shirts and shorts during summer. He works hard too and seems to have the respect of the team.

That said, most Duck fans expect him to play towards his mean. We’ll see though.

I also think the Ty Thompson talk is just to say he keeps progressing. I would be shocked if he started against Georgia unless there’s an injury.

At Auburn when things would begin to go bad he seemed to get a bit of an attitude, too. He's a bit of a mixed bag. Tons of talent but seemed unable to harness it. As the other Georgia fan said, he didn't trust his Oline and would bail on a play quickly. In fairness, Auburn has had a tough time getting quality OLinemen.

I don't think anyone saw Oregon beating the absolute shite out of then-#3 Ohio State in their own stadium last year.

Of course I don't think anyone predicted Utah embarrassing Oregon twice later in the season after that win either. So, a very confusing team, but they have the potential to be very good and give UGA a game.

Interested to see which Bo Nix shows up and if Oregon can run the ball. Cristobal didn't skimp on the OLine and RB recruiting.

Georgia should win on defense alone but don't ever forget how Muschump can screw it all up.

That went up. It opened at 15.5. I guess enough people remember Utah piledriving them twice at the end of the season.

Oregon has eons more talent than that Hawaii team did. Georgia should win fairly comfortably, but this is not one of those games where Kirby can name the final score like Richt could have done to Hawaii.
