MLB Draft - Status of your underclassman, high school signees, & transfers

the HS kids who went 1st round yesterday were expected for us.

I think there were 2? I might be wrong here.

Damn I thought for sure Weigman was going to pick baseball over football although he hasn't played in a year and early enrolled to play spring football like one of your fans swore yesterday .

Romero going first round was a surprise, but not a surprise he won't make it to campus.

Did not expect Sonny D to be the 4th Auburn Tiger drafted. No love for the big man.

Looks like the draft is going about as well as possibly for A&M's 2023 season. Everything is falling our way thus far and we're reaching the point that guys will have to be paid well above slot to even consider going pro.

They expected to get gutted though. Even with the gutting, they have a lot of really highly rated guys left.

Jordan Sprinkle (SS from UC Santa Barbara) - gone

We signed a bunch of JUCOs to hopefully replace some of the infield losses. CF Mason Neville is a HS signee who hasn't been picked yet but is expected to sign, didn't think he'd fall this far though. C Michael Turner, CF Braydon Webb and RF Chris Lanzilli are also out of eligibility. On the other hand HS signee 3B Jayson Jones might be one that makes it to campus we didn't expect and is an immediate starter.

We're still going after P/C Paul Skenes from Air Force and looks like we may get our other transfers (LHP Julian Bosnic from South Carolina, RHP Koty Frank from Nebraska, SS/CF Tavian Josenberger from Kansas, OF Jared Wegner from Creighton and C Hudson Polk from Oklahoma) so overall not horrible.

Guys on the current roster who are probably 50/50 are RHP Connor Noland, LHP Zack Morris and 1B/RF Brady Slavens. Would be big to get them back. Don't expect LHP Evan Taylor back but he hasn't been picked yet either.
