Here's the problem I have with LSU fans. They want to be alabama, fine, who wouldn't. BUT they also think they are Alabama. Especially kids that started watching ball in the year LSU fans think ball started being played, 2000.
I heard one say the other day once Saban leaves we will dominate Bama from now on. yea, like they always have outside of Saban?
Hell, Bill Curry went 2-1 against them Gene Stallings went 6-1. Even Mike Dumbose went 2-2 and Fraudchione laid a 31-0 beatdown on a Saban led LSU squad. It took one of the worst sanctions in NCAA history laid on Bama for them to string a few in a row. I guess the sanction years is where they got their confidence from ...however astersik laiden that period is, they still brag. They forget Arkansas, Ole miss, and Auburn dominated us during that period. Not to mention 2 losses to LaTech, Central Florida, Northern FRICKIN Illinois and a blowout loss to a 3
win state team. They didn't do anything special. Once the sanctions were gone, they were LSU again against Bama. Lete em have their delirium though.
Auburn thought they were hot shite during this time too only to have a 36-0 beatdown laid on a non sanctioned Bama team that led to them saying, oh Tuberville wont win against a Bama squad with a full roster.

LSU fans could be Alabama fans if they wanted to be.

I know, and the vast number of Georgia fans have nothing but respect for LSU. It boggles the mind why a Georgia fan wants to troll LSU. I guess I just don't understand it.

1. Auburn has won two titles.
2. IN 1957..their first title...they were on probation for paying players.
3. In 2010, their second title...they were under investigation for paying their start player.
Here you are, apparently thinking Auburn is elite...or great...or good...or what exactly?

Nobody was talking Auburn until UGA fans brought them into it. This was comparing LSU to UGAs performances because a UGA fan felt their program was superior the last 40 years. It is all about the Hardware, and an Auburn fan reminded you of it.

Years ago I would agree, before 2019. No one thinks we are on Alabama's level anymore.

If we played Georgia every week by past history we would be underfeated .

1980 to 2022
And only because Bama wasn't at full strength.

How could kids watch earlier if they're kids? Idiot.
Saban SAVED Bama and it was pure luck that he fell in your lap. Get off your high horse.

LSU won titles with two of the biggest fricking idiots to ever walk a sideline and you don’t think Kelly is at least as intelligent as the last two

We have:
3 National Championships Auburn has 2
14 Conference championsips Auburn has 12
Even if you want to restrict it to the "last 40 years" we would win that argument.
All that said, nobody said anything about Auburn until you came into the thread with this:
Their trophy case is a large room compared to UGA's broom closet the last 20 years. And that is with playing in the West.
Again. Wasn't it you who told a Georgia fan he needed to learn to read?
You brought Auburn into it when you took a swipe at Georgia.

Now compare LSU to UGA which is what the post was about. It took a AU fan to put you in your place, so you wanted to bring them in. Really not much of a difference in AU and UGA, only one is:
1.The Flagship University of the State
2. In a State that produces the 3rd most recruiting talent in the country.
3. In a SEC Division that has consistently been average.
UGA pretty much underachieves in every sport.

And I have already said this was a weird thread. That said, you admit this thread has nothing to do with Auburn yet you felt compelled to come in here and lecture Georgia about hardware?
quote:
1.The Flagship University of the State
Explain to me what difference being the flagship makes? I mean...I have seen tons of Auburn recruits commit to "The University of Auburn". Should I name all of the schools with more hardware than Auburn that are not flagship schools? Or just more success?
quote:And the running joke on the entire board, including the Auburn board is that Auburn is practically in the state of Georgia. Maybe you should ask yourself how Alabama has 18 titles and they are further from all that talent than Auburn is?
2. In a State that produces the 3rd most recruiting talent in the country.
quote:And yet we still managed to be the #1 team in the country last season.
3. In a SEC Division that has consistently been average.

What is your definition of underachieve?

I encourage you to pick any year you want that makes sense (1992, the year the 2nd cross over was dropped, 2000, the year Mizzou and TAMU were added, whatever...) and actually disect Auburn's numbers vs. the East.
Auburn has a .415 winning percentage vs the east's half of the Big 6 since 1992. Even taking out the East's half of the Big 6, Auburn only has a +18 game winning advantage over Vandy, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Mizzou in the regular season since 1992 (30 seasons), so Auburn is only winning 60% of their games vs the lower half of the "average" SEC East.
For some comparison, Auburn has a .670 winning percentage vs. the non-Big 6 SEC West schools.
So by you saying the west is tough, what you are really saying is that LSU and Alabama dominate your arse, and since the Iron Bowl is the last game of the season, LSU beats Auburn's arse so badly, Auburn underperforms for the rest of the season vs the SEC East.
Maybe you can start an SEC West chant during crossover games or something.

LSU really can’t maintain success

You right. That 2000-2019 run was brief. Look up the records and titles and compare it to any team in the Nation. We shall see where the future goes.

Bowl games mean nothing today. It is not the same as an October game because some do not play and others want to get the season over with. Those non-Big 6 Bowl participants use practice as an early spring session or just go through the motion.
The SECW is head and shoulders above the East since Saban started at LSU. How many SECW NCs vs SECE NCs, SECW vs SECE SECC ? UF was good early but imploded after CUM left and UGA underachieved from day 1. The gauntlet of the West is much harder than going thru UT, VU, UK, SC, and Mizzu most years. Even Mizzu made it to the Championship Game the first season. Keep trying.
