No need to overthink, as many here do, realignment for an SEC expansion:
10 Charter Schools, 10 Non Charter.
Add 4 more schools, and divide them as such. Two Divisions in each (possibly), and preserve the traditional rivalries.
SEC Charter
UF
UGA
UT
UK
Alabama
AU
MSU
Ole Miss
LSU
Vandy
SEC Carpet Baggers
USCe
Arkansas
TAMU
Missouri
Texas
OU

I have stopped paying attention. I hate the idea of a pod system. It sounds like that is what it is going to be though. Whenever it happens, that is when I will start bitching about it.
My favorite scenario is moving Auburn/bama to the East. Hopefully people that matter will figure out that is the best thing possible for the conf..

This is correct, divide it into the SEC and SWC.
OU and UTx never officially members of the SEC, the hogs melt would be epic, Aggies on suicide watch. Make it so.

Move Bama and auburn to the east. Bama keeps auburn and Tennessee and auburn gets to bring back Florida and Tennessee, Bama and UGA every year would be off the charts nationally.
It also preserves the west with ou-Texas, arkie-Texas gets brought back, LSU keeps a&m and ole miss.
I couldn’t care less about the we want play all schools more often. The sec has never done that shite anyway. There isn’t a school in the current west that I have to play every year outside of auburn.
Playing Oklahoma, a&m, LSU or ole miss once every 10 years doesn’t bother me at all. Again, the sec has never had everybody play everybody often even when only had 10 teams. Don’t know why people are apeshite crazy about it now. I don’t buy what they say, I think their real motivation is to kill off some rivalries because they want school x to be their rival and that wouldn’t happen anyway.

If you add 4 more teams, who does the SEC go after? UNC? Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Clemson? It would be interesting to see who the SEC would want to bring in.

How many conference games are you going to play? There is no (possibly) about making four divisions when you have 20 teams. It would take nine just to play your own division. Even at 10 conference games, you would only manage a home and away against the teams in the opposite division once every 20 years.
This is just the original ten teams leaving and reforming the SEC as it was in 1991 and leaving behind a frankenstein’s conference.

As I said before and will continue to say. Easiest way moving forward will be four 4 team pods.
WEST
OU
Texas
Arkansas
Mizzou
SOUTH
A&M
LSU
OLE Miss
Miss ST
CENTRAL
Bama
Auburn
Vandy
Tennessee
EAST
Florida
UGA
Kentucky
USC
3 permanent pod games
3 permanent rivalry games from any pod
3 random opponents from any pod.
That will make 6 rival games per year and 3 random games.
That will keep the tradition of the current rivals. It will also allow every SEC team to play every other once in a 4 year span
