It’s going to be a million degrees in Omaha over the weekend. Advantage SEC teams.
I hope Stanford wears their all black jerseys for the 1pm Saturday start. The California pinko commies won't be use to that heat, but then again, they're college athletes so they'll be fine. I just hope the heat affects them.

A preview of the teams.

Quite a College World Series stew being cooked up for Omaha later this weekend. And like any good recipe, we should know the main ingredients.
The No. 2 seeded team in the NCAA tournament, Stanford. Also No, 5 Texas A&M, No, 9 Texas and No. 14 Auburn. That means 10 of the top 13 seeds did not get to the College World Series, including No. 1 Tennessee. For reasons known only to the college baseball gods, the last time the top seed won a national championship was Miami in 1999. The past three tournaments, No. 1 didn’t even make it to Omaha. The ranking has turned into a hand grenade with the pin pulled out.

The last time we had so many unseeded teams, Coastal won it all.

It is wide open imo. I think any team can win it.

SEC has 16 teams. They should have more than any other conference.

We should make up 50% of the field because we have 14 teams. What kind of silly logic is that?

36 Stanford
112 Ole Miss
119 Oklahoma
169 A&M

Hope everybody fortunate enough to be there has a great time. Looks like the opening day ceremony is back but still modified a bit, no autograph sessions and no concert, but here’s the schedule. Have enjoyed the opening ceremony in the past and was disappointed they didn’t do it last year.

I didn't see Tennessee in the bracket. What happened?

Lol, who’s the fat guy for Auburn?
Did that dinger kid from LLWS grow up already?

You’re not breaking news. You just haven’t been paying attention.

I like that A&M got the first game. We got to see the field yesterday, have practice on it today, and then get to take BP on it tomorrow before the game.

Did you look at the one on the first page?

And this is the sharpest image I can find, which may not be too clear if you are on your phone.

Also we always like to complain about the seeding when SEC teams meet along the way to Omaha, but it can be difficult to manage sometimes. The night game on Saturday between Ole Miss and Auburn is the first game between SEC schools in the tournament, and we had 9 teams that made it in and 4 that made it to Omaha. So it seems like they did a great job to me.
Of course as a homer I wasn't happy to see Oklahoma come to Gainesville, but OU probably deserved to host, so it sucked for them as well.
