Auburn Defensive line is the biggest and strongest in the nation the Defensive backs will produce it's usual first rounder and the offensive line is full of grown men with more starts than any team in the nation the best back in the SEC with a solid kicking game this sounds like a national contender

Harsin isn’t doing that while his recruiting classes are to this point no more well rounded.
How can we evaluate his recruiting?
1st year - new hire, from across the country, with no established relationships.
2nd year - stabbed in back by booster gate.
I wish we would relax and let the man do his job for a few years like we did with Bruce Pearl.

You see AU football isn’t AU basketball. Harsin took on a program that was essentially 4th(ish) in football. Bama UGA LSU the only better programs. Bruce took over a program that was 14th out of 14. As a basketball school we were the conference Vandy. Us UGA and OM have always been bad with few years as the exception. That’s the difference.
How long are we supposed to wait on Harsin? This year he will lose a lot of players some to graduation and some to the draft. It will essentially wipe out almost all of Gus’ players. With the lack of recruiting Harsin better win this year because 2023 is gonna be ugly unless Calzada just becomes all American like. If we don’t win 8 games this season we won’t win 6 in 2023.

The problem is not the coach. The problem is the program. We can’t even get on the same page for the NIL system. We have booster groups competing with other groups for donations.
We are an administrative cluster ___. Only a really good coach can win despite it. (See Pearl and Thompson).
Most of you need to understand that we are really likely to be in Tennessee territory soon. (1-2 decades of 6-5 or 7-4 seasons).
The 3-4 year circle jerk of coaching blame is tiring. Unless the coach has had a decade to form a conclusion on - like Gus. Then let him go.

Harsin certainly isn't the cause of so many of the program's problems, but it's also getting harder to see him as the solution. We're already getting trounced in our traditional recruiting footprint, and if it's another mediocre or less season, I worry it will all be a hole too deep for him to dig out of.

9 wins with our schedule, our roster, and our coaches would make him COY.
So let it be done. WDE.
As posi or insane as I would like to be, I can't get on the 15-0 'ship, Rocky, et al. Hopefully soon.

Recruiting! Depends on what he accomplishes off the field as much as on the field. If we finish around 12-15 in recruiting with holes everywhere on the roster and a graduating of the entire OL and can’t replace with highly rated OL that could potentially a couple come in and start day 1 he’s in trouble. Our top WR prospect is Karmello English. That’s not good enough to win in the SEC although the kid is a fine WR. In state DL class we are gonna have to fight off Bama, UGA, Clemson to get some of the scraps it’s looking like. If we sign only 3 or less in the top 10 in recruiting he’s in trouble. That is the hope. If his recruiting is just getting by there is no hope and will find himself out the door. With it looking like AU will be able to sign around 30ish players if we aren’t top 8 in the country this class will be considered a big let down again.
Much of this true. But Gus consistently recruited "well" but the general knock on him is there was very little player development. Granted we are in a new age with NIL and things, but let's flip this narrative 180 degrees, so if CBH brings in an on paper "shitty" recruiting class with all odds stacked against him, but he and his staff do develop players like Zach and others at QB for this year going forwards, (and Gus was no QB guru), then what? CBH deserves more than a fighter's chance. I say give him 2 more years ro acclimate, learn from his mistakes, build relationships with future recruits, and see what kind of product he puts on the field this year. He and our players deserve much more support. JMHO.

Been binge-watching Stranger Things? Just curious, how old are you? I'm 52. I know of much stranger things.
AU vs bama and uga, you can throw everything out the window. Throw in LSU. Grow up and get behind this team, Nega.

Punt, bammer, punt. Miracle in Jordan-Hare, the Camback. Never, ever count AU out.
PS: the better / best teams (including on paper) do not always win. That is why the actual games are played, on the field.

Waiting on Harsin is not the only problem, especially with all the shite he (and his family, and staff, players, team) have been drug through.
We were just a few plays away from a great 1st season under CBH. We didn't make those plays. We did not EXECUTE those plays. We were a play or two away from beating bammer, and SHOULD HAVE. Bitch as much as you want, but you also need to get behind our TEAM and give them all a fair shot. Coaching change attrition, bad apples, etc. all goes with the territory. Recruiting, etc., is very much dependent on getting in on guys early and building RELATIONSHIPS with them and their families. It often takes YEARS, for any coach / staff to do this. Yes or no? And all you sky is falling POS's who never consider a glass that could be half-full, then GTFO of the Auburn Family. My two cents.

I'm just guessing but aren't other schools taking much more than normally allowed?

Schools can fill their 85 limit. So however short you will be you can sign that many

Harsin is fully capable. Just say it, we are impatient.
Posted on 6/24/22 at 10:14 pm to Rig
What metric do we use to measure he’s fully capable. Lost multiple games we should have won in year 1. Subpar recruiting by AU standards even for a new coach. No buzz around the program last year or this year in the off season.
So what measure shows he’s capable? Because he won at Boise? Every coach there wins and basically at the same level or greater then Harsin. Koetter, Hawkins, Petersen, Harsin all won big at Boise. Koetter made it to OC at the NFL but is now at Boise as an offensive analyst, Petersen petered out at UW, Hawkins was a train wreck at Colorado, and Harsin just posted a losing season at Auburn.

Auburn starts 4-1 or 5-0 due to the extremely weak schedule up front. Some of the fanbase gets sucked in to thinking maybe he is turning things around. We finish 6-6 or 7-5 and Harsin is fired shortly after the Iron Bowl.
