Do the SEC umpires have the power to remove the whistler?

Didn't they try something like that a couple years back?
I thought I remember there being a confrontation or something. Either way, if people stopped talking about him and giving him attention it would probably stop. That's all he wants.

they does not have the power.
from my understanding only if said fan enters the field of play. other than that it's probably up to stadium security

Umps have the power to eject anyone out of the ball park

They can’t. He’s not breaking a rule. You can make unassisted noises. There was an altercation a couple of years ago with another fan and it was learned that the whistler wasn’t in his assigned seat.

They did remove him at the college World Series

If Moo St still has the cowbells good luck with the Whistler…

There’s only one way to deal with it. Retaliation so bad that Vanderbilt is forced to deal with it. I’d suggest paying all the yodelers you can find to head to the SEC tournament for the vandy games.

Lol. I'd watch almost anybody play Vanderbilt to watch the whistler vs yodeler(s) match-up.

Stop being a bitch. Yes, the whistler sucks. Welcome to shitty fans in the SEC. Every team has them.

The guy unfortunate enough to sit in front of the whistler at the LSU/Vandy game in 2019 called the usher to check the whistler’s ticket - which he couldn’t produce. Of course he refused to leave the reserved seating section and that caused a scene. It was an entertaining distraction from the massacre on the field.

I was in a game where the umpire tossed both teams coaches, the damn mascot and the PA announcer, along with a couple players from each team. I believe they have too much power.

that much of a distraction has to be breaking some sort of venue policy

I had to listen to an inning of the Vandy game while I was driving home. It sounded like he was inside the booth, whistling directly into Chris Blair's microphone.

I don't know how the Vandy players put up with listening to all that damn whistling.
