How else is a coach going to replinish a roster that had 39 scholarship players dress for a bowl game? If you want to compete you can't do it with TrFr signees. You have to hit the portal.

That's exactly what CBK did. He signed STARTERS from other P5 and G5 ranked teams that were ready to move on. LSU may not start the preseason ranked but will end it there.

Comparing these two to the likes of North Texas, San Jose St and a 26 point loss to fricking Western Kentucky isn’t even close. Lmao

Losing to BC stunk but it was by a FG on the road. Against Army we set our best player and anything can happen against the triple option. shite, Army took OU to OT recently in Norman lol.

Try again troll.

I agree with Too high, I’d place them 4th or 5th in the SEC, with Ole Miss 3rd

You need to relax. This is about LSU needed to take one of Missouri top player and LSU never did anything like that until Kelly became the new HC of LSU. Roster does matter. Missouri and Drinkwitz still have ways to go. It will be a slow but steady climb to get there. Not like top football program like LSU! Got to give Drinkwitz time. Drinkwitz isn't going to turn the football program around with lesser talents! He needs more time to recruit more 4* and 5* talents to compete with the rest of the SEC. LSU already has the talents and there should be no excuses for not be ranked at this time with all those talents LSU have. That is the fault of Kelly and LSU! Missouri still about 2 years away to compete. 4* and 5* talents are coming in but not enough to fill up all the key spots. Also, will need good backups and depth. This past year was Drinkwitz first time to get 7 4* and 1 5* talents. He is going to need to keep doing that the next 2 years and that shall be good enough to challenge against most SEC teams. I am perfectly for him doing it the right way rather try to get most from transfer portal like LSU and Arkansas did that really helped them big time. But there are no excuses for the committee to say that isn't going to work for Kelly and LSU to be deserving to be ranked at this time. Good luck to your football team and your team is rightfully deserved to be ranked at this time.

Who gives a shite about a preseason ranking? Do you really think this poll has any bearing on the season outcome ? Must be depressing to be a Mizzou fan.

I'm fine with LSU starting the season unranked, make them earn it on the field.

I also think it's completely fair to not rank a team with a new coach and staff in the SEC.

LSU was just trying to find players looking for a better opportunity, or perhaps better coaching, or maybe a coach with a clue.

This cuck comes on here and says some dumb shite and I defend my team from the obvious troll and now he says I’m going for moral victories. I was just pointing how retarded your post was.

If you want to see a team bank on moral victories look at your fellow Razorbacks. Had a 9-4 season but was so happy to have that 9-4 season. I applaud y’all for the improvements your team has made but the happiness that 9-4(4-4) season gave you was all moral victory.

Stop being a cuck. Good luck to the piggies and see you in November.

Well that wouldn’t make sense. Mizzou beat LSU with inferior talent with Drink at HC.

The obvious reason he left was because y’all hired his high school head coach. Sometimes shite like that happens brother.

I thought LSU fired Orgeron because he was a bad HC. Now with Kelly as the new HC he couldn't get any love from this site to be ranked.

LSU will have to play there way off the shite list. I am OK with that. If they do there will be a lot of no nothing pundits earing crow

Well there was the little thing of switching the coaching staff over between both events.

So, it is okay for Notre Dame to be ranked high for an unproven and unexperienced HC?

Aggie too high. I'd place us somewhere between 8th and 13th

Everyone is basically ranking Texas A&M so highly because of one recruiting class. They’re still freshman. That’s why all these preseason rankings are all hype. We will be a solid team but with this many question marks going into fall camp, especially at QB, I don’t see how you put us #6.
I think that this is how most Aggies see it.

And when we finish the season in the 12-15 range, the entire Tiger Nation will confidently assert that Aggies were claiming a "pre-season national championship."

Look how high Notre Dame is with a first time HC. So, Kelly has a much better roster than Notre Dame and still isn't ranked? So maybe they think Kelly is the problem and wasn't able to get Notre Dame to win a championship with a pretty good roster. I bet Notre Dame fans are very happy that Kelly is gone. Make you wonder about Kelly being an excellence HC.
